Followed for a long time, does it look and handle the same as advertised? I bought two other brands of book lamps, but the workmanship is so bad!

This is my first book lamp but it works good for me. The whole book is well lit and you can adjust and rotate the light position

What is the official charging recommendation from the manufacturer (how long does a full charge take)?

I don't recall the manufacturer's info on that, however, I have recharged it one time and found that it recharged very quickly, maybe in less than a half-hour.

Any printable instructions?

Yes, but so easy to use, that I didn’t even open them.
