(In windy conditions maybe 7-8 packs at the smoking section of a cruise ship outside and at sea!) I usually charge for not more than 2 hours. I use a small brass bristle brush to clean the carbon off the burner tips before charging. I have this for several months and the case still looks brand new. I have dropped it several times on hardwood floors (accidentally) with no visible damage to the outside or impairing of functionality, just put the battery back in and slip the battery cover back on and your in business again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice but big and heavy *by J***E on October 25, 2017* It is a little larger than I expected, but built very well and works fine. But I see no reason for the light to come on every time you open the top.I can see it coming on when it is charging, and it does, and then goes off when charged.The back of the lighter comes off and is held in place by two magnets, one at the top and one at the bottom. Under the cover is a 14500 Li ion battery, which can be purchased here on Amazon or elsewhere.
