The height/width/length/duty/WHEELS are 'just right' - The FOUR INCH casters 30x14x64" five shelf is the one to get. It has a good balance of strength and simplicity. It is the Goldilocks "just the right amount of heavy duty" where weight is not an issue during assembly. An older person or young person of lower body strength should still be able to get the pieces together without a problem. I would not want to test the rated weight capacity, but it is rated so extremely high, I doubt in normal use anyone would need to even approach half the rating. This 64" shelf is not too short, so you are not wasting the height capacity of a normal room, but not too tall, so an average size human frame is still able to utilize the upper most shelf. The 4" wheels should make normal pile carpeting (or room transition bumps) a non issue, where as with smaller casters I would be leery of rolling issues. The wheel locks may not be a normal use-case, but they are there in case of a non level surface. Is also somewhat modular and reasonably quick to take apart in the periodic event of transport to new home in a small car when needed. The gentle force of that shelf push is what closes them. Just make sure you attach the clips with the “top” and arrow facing up and just above the single grooves of your choice…not one of the double grooves…on the pole then slide them down the pole a little until they snap into that single groove. And be sure to slide the shelf on with the lip facing down. It’s too bad the directions don’t explain this about the clips because our brains think the clips should snap completely together when attached to the poles. **Q: What is the diameter of the posts?** A: I don't know what diameter the other sizes are, but the 30" three tier shelf is only 3/4" diameter. I went off the previous answer when I bought three of these. Boy was I fooled when I received 3/4" poles. Smh! **Q: Is it possible to turn the shelves around so that the edges of the shelves have a lip?** A: The answer is that you should not unless you are not planning to put much weight on them. The HOLES in the Shelves for the Brackets (standards) are Trapezoidal in shape. They are designed to work like Wedges with the Plastic Bracket pieces. The more weight is added to the shelf, the harder the bracket pieces are shoved together so they GRIP the Shelves ONTO the Poles (shelf stndards) keeping them in place. If you turn the shelves UPSIDE down, the Wedge Functionality is defeated. They will not be Nearly as sturdy and will be prone to Slipping down the Poles. Could you get Lucky and have them Not slip? Well Yes, if not much eight at all was on each shelf (30 to 50 Pounds). But assembled correctly, these should hold 350 pounds per shelf with NO Way to slip. Lessons learned from Ancient Egyptians, Romans, and Greeks. A KEYSTONE in an arch is the perfect example. **Q: Are these the industrial size poles that are 1" so I can use shelves I already own?** A: Yes. They are 1” poles. I have 6 of the 14x30” 5 shelves units. I almost bought the wrong clips to add extra shelves because of the irresponsible answers given on here. Below I have grouped different features about it too hopefully help make it easier to read through. 🟣 My usage: The dimensions happened to be nearly exact to what I was needing and fits great in the spot in the closet. It's mostly being used to store/hold/organize a bunch of jeans, sweats, leggings/yoga pants, etc. It holds so much more than the dresser did since those items were bulky for the drawers but I have limited hanging space so I really like these shelves for the pants. Plus, it held everything from my dresser and left room to put a few bins to store other items. 🟣 Weight capacity: I know it easily holds at least 65lbs (my kiddo stood on the bottom shelf when I was assembling), but seems strong and durable enough to hold much more. 🟣 Assembly: Was simple, with distractions/breaking it took about 20 minutes to setup 🟣 Wheels: I love that it includes wheels, the other brand didn't. You don't have to use them/attach to the shelves, if you don't want to. Plus you can always add/remove them later on, if desired. They maneuver smoothly and function well. Makes it very convenient to move for vacuuming under or just to move it in general 🟣 Cosmetically/Appearance: I think it looks great.
