Great 1st action camera
Was looking for an action camera to take on fishing trip abroad in a few months time, never had an action camera before, I did a lot of research to pick the right one to try as did not want to spend a fortune in case I never used again. Most of the reviews pointed to the Akaso Brave 4 Pro so I took a change and got one. Wow, What a bargain this little camera is, so far have only used to test in the garden to see what the quality was like, I was amazed with this little camera, the image was great, stabilisation was good when running round garden to test it, the sound quality was good. Cannot say how it operates under water as I will not be using it for this purpose, although I might try one day just to check it out. I was not expecting it to be this good, the amount of accessories that come with it are good, although I can see I won't use them all, have got myself a chest harness to use with it, the only thing missing was a "J" hook to attach to harness. I will be using it before I go abroad using the harness on a local fishing trip. The 2 batteries that come with it are a good touch, when I looked at other cameras you had to buy extra batteries, would I recommend this camera, yes if you are looking for an easy to use 1st action camera, easy to use as well, the Akaso app seems to be OK, but would recommend downloading videos and pics to laptop direct as did take a while just using the WiFi option. I don't normally do reviews but was so surprised by this camera I felt it might help others to choose

For under £100 it’s a no brainer
Bought for my little girl to go to Florida with as she’s becoming quite the wee vlogger. It’s come with everything you need, an underwater case which is never off. Every attachment you could think off, she’s had it on her bike handlebars, her helmet, clipped to her jacket. From the videos she showed me it’s very smooth - u barely notice she’s walking/riding and the picture quality looked great, she’s happy with it and like I said it cost me under £100

Good value
Very good value item particularly when compared to the well know opposition. Useful screens (front and rear) and intuitive controls. Seems robust and recorded picture quality looks good even on a large flat screen tv. I'm using mainly to record walks and holidays rather than action as such and the compact size makes the camera easy to transport. Delivered with a multitude of accessories which should cover most of the ways to mount the camera and also a spare battery. Image stabilisation is OK so far but not yet tried in more challenging ways (such as the handlebars on my bike). I bought the external mic separately though this is only really needed if audio is a major factor for use.

Good Action Camera — Great Customer Service
The AKASO Brave 4 Pro is a solid little action camera with a lot to offer at its price point. The front screen is a really useful feature for framing shots, especially for vlogging or selfies. It’s compact, easy to use, and captures decent footage for casual use. It comes with a hard plastic waterproof case, which is great for underwater activities — though I’ve noticed some rust starting to appear after a few uses, which is a bit disappointing for a camera designed for those environments. Unfortunately, the first unit I received had an SD card slot issue where the card wouldn’t sit properly. I ended up losing the card and all my holiday footage, which was very frustrating. That said, AKASO’s customer service was fantastic, super responsive and helpful — they replaced the camera after I sent back the faulty one (though I did have to cover the cost of tracked return shipping). Overall, it’s a good budget action cam. Solid customer support.

Amazing value and good
Amazing value, lots of ways to set it up from the box. Really good camera quality, except indoors due to the lighting - but I don’t intend to be doing any indoor action stuff! Got it to make some good memories and dog walking - thinking of rigging it to get a dogs eye view of the world for fun even! You can even set it up to be a quick dash cam if need be. Battery life is great, easy to download to the computer. Haven’t tried the Wi-Fi option but as my mobile battery is on the way out probably won’t be using that anytime soon. I did a load of online research before buying this camera as it was the first one I have bought, and so glad I got it. Would highly recommend. Customer service really good too.

Really good value.
So far I have only used this mounted on my cycle at leisurly pace to and from work. I have tested it indoors and it doesn't like low-light conditions, I am told most action cams don't. As always, some experimentation will be required to get the right settings for what suits you. For my bike, I have it set 1080p x 60fps. This gives a better opportunity to freeze-frame a number plate for example than 1080p x 30fps, but creates a smaller file size than 120fps. It has some great features, all of which can be found in on-line videos (not by me). At the settings I use it with, each battery lasts almost 2 hours. So, what will I use it for? Well, as said, attached to my bike for general documentation of rides, I also want to head mount it to document my drone flying sessions and intend to take it camping soon where there is a pub which has a shallow, clear fish pond, so an opportunity for some underwater shots there. Action cam Vs Phone camera. I ain't gonna lie, your phone camera prob takes better vids & pics BUT, my phone for example costs more to replace shoul it get dropped or lost, does not have image stablization, is not weather / waterproof, is a pain to mount anywhere and it is important to me that is has battery life when I'm in the middle of nowhere. Summary - Great little camera for the price. Loads of accessories, two batteries which can be charged at the same time (or just charge the one in the cam) and lots of features.

Not the best quality sadly
Obviously this is a budget option and not to the same standard as the well known comprtetitors. My camera failed to record many times and it wasn't working very well with my sd card, which is a good quality genuine sd card.. showed errors while I was in action on my adventures.. imagine not getting your video because your equipment let's you down.. sad times!! The image isn't sharp .. my old gopro 4 silver was better quality than this. The software doesn't do a good job of downloading the content from the camera onto my phone.. the usability is quite annoying as I couldn't select multiple files to download.. again gopro software way outshines. Audio pickup quality issues also noticed At the cost it's ok, but it doesn't feel premium, nor is it a joy to own.. I hoped for better.
