does this work with garageband? for mac

Yes. If the software supports midi it will support this device. But I suggest just saving up a little more for an mpk25 or one of the other keyboard/drum pad combos. Also I was dissatisfied with the sensitivity of the pads themselves. Ended up reselling mine on craigslist within 2 months of buying it.

Can it be used wired instead of wireless

Can this be used with serato stems?

Will this work for sure with a chromebook laptop (acer)? akai support (2017) says it may.

AKAI support here! Technically, because the included software won't work on a Chromebook due to the OS, we can't guarantee your full purchase will work. The LPD8 should connect just fine since it doesn't require drivers. As long as you find another program that works on Chrome OS and supports the LPD8, you should be fine.
