I've used both this disposal cleaner as well as the washing machine cleaner for the mildew stink that can develop in the drum. Both products have worked as advertised and made me very happy. I have to say that I also LOVED that the instruction video was done by someone who was more representative of all of us in the USA, not just the white portion. Our disposal was always... slimy. It was disgusting. When I bought this I just wanted a way to clean the disposal, not thinking about the slime or if this would help or not. I was just hoping to clean my kitchen a little more thoroughly, and get rid of the pipe funk that happens now and then with the changing of the seasons. Well I used it the day I got it. My disposal was so gross I used the recommended 2 tablets for a first time washing, twice. So 4 tablets when it was all said and done. It says it has a virus scent, which I caught a hint of, but it was super strong at all. You get more smell or of peeling an orange. So the scent shouldn't be bothersome at all. And ALL of the nasty slime was gone! I haven't smelled the pipe fun yet, slime hasn't come back. Definitely buying again.

Edit to original review: Much to my surprise, the company sent me a full product refund along with their apologies for my experience. I didn't ask for a refund, they just offered it. That sort of customer service is rarely seen these days. It is for that reason that I am changing my review to four stars and I will, in fact, give the product another chance. We had a washer just have the most horrible smell. I tried the tablets that are pretty popular in the store right now. I tried the bleach and vinegar and baking soda thing with hot loads of water. Nothing I did seem to work. I watched a professional cleaner talk about the importance of having your machine have maintenance. But he said if you're not going to or can't do maintenance yet try these products I found on Amazon. Well, it was this product! So what he did was he showed a washer on the inside before he used this tablet. He put it back together and then he showed it after. He did the same using another popular store brand we're all used to... This one works so much better! I was very impressed and I have showed all of my family who also loves these now too! Don't forget to look out their dishwasher tabs as well. I just think this is a really quality product without all of the harsh chemicals that clearly don't do the job They say they are supposed to. This is a great product that works the way it says it will! Plus there's no risk considering their free returns. But trust me, you won't return this!

I feel like they do deodorize the sink a bit, but they never foam up for us so I'mnot conviced the disposal is getting cleaned. The instructions are really clear and they are easy to use, but they don't seem to be the best quality.

Definitely cleans the disposal and leaves a crisp scent. Highly recommend to keep your disposal in top shape

I had such high hopes this product would clean the gunk I could and couldn’t see in my disposal. As per the instructions on the box and on their web site, I ran the disposal to make sure it was cleaned out, ran the water until it was extremely hot, slowed the water down to a trickle and moved the faucet to the side, dropped in 2 bare tablets, and turned the disposal on. I heard a couple of crunching sounds for a second or two as the tablets were broken up and quickly washed away, but there was NO foam, NO cleaning, NO deodorizing and NO citrus smell. I was looking down the drain the whole time. After a minute I turned the disposal off and the inside of the disposal was just as gunky and dirty looking as before trying this useless product. As the hot water was still trickling down the drain, I dropped in a third tablet and watched it just sit in the disposal for about 30 seconds while it did nothing – no foaming or dissolving, nothing. So I turned the disposal back on for a minute and it disappeared but nothing more. 21 tablets to go and I doubt these work any better than had I dropped in some Lifefavers candy. The next morning, I crushed two packets into powder and poured that into the disposal while trickling in hot water. I could see about in inch of foam form, so I turned on the disposal for a minute while it disappeared. I could see NO difference in how clean the inside of the disposal looked and couldn’t smell a citrus odor. You are not supposed to run the Badger brand disposal while running hot water through it so I hope I didn’t damage it during my futile two days of trying to clean it with this product.

The garbage disposal in our new apartment (new to us) is absolutely disgusting. The smell coming from this is is rancid. I can see into the disposal and can tell it was never cleaned, ever. I recently purchased the washing machine cleaner and noticed these when I was checking out. I thought I would give them a try since nothing else is helping with the disposal. Per the instructions I only needed to use 1 tablet based on the HP for the disposal, but it was recommended to use 2 the first time if it was particularly gross. So I threw 2 in the disposal and let it go. The amount of disgusting stuff that came up in the foam made me sick! I couldn't belive how much gunk it got out after 1 use! Now, my disposal is still gross but I can tell it is WAY more clean than it was before I used this product. It says to use 2 times a month to keep it clean but I almost want to use it everyday to get that totally clean. Don't sleep on these tablets. Get them now! I am going to be purchasing the dishwasher tablets next!!!!
