I just need the acme gold whistle with out the box, what size is it considered. Small, med or large?

I have purchased both the silver and gold whistles (same size), but didn't know they made 3 sizes. Based upon research on other websites that show the silver one , list it as "small" and give the "small" measurements, the gold one I bought is definitely a "small". Don't let size deter you, I can't imagine what difference it would make in sound quality and the size certainly isn't "tiny". Higher or lower pitch maybe? Smaller one easier to blow? The "small" whistles I have are great and indeed produce a "thundering" sound. It is a superb product I have used for over 15 years with total satisfaction.

Which size whistle is this?

Same size as silver one, just gold. Not a large whistle but very loud and powerful. In this case smaller is better.

Can this whistle be engraved?

I think so. Material is heavy and dense. Should take to a drill quite well.

What is written on the whistle? Does it have a lanyard?

No lanyard, "The Acme Thunderer, Made in England". There really is a difference in whistles this one is superb, great tone and piercing sound.

Free Blowing and LOUD!

I bought this one for my wife and she loves it! it is a shiny, beautiful gold plated number. We’re teachers and needed good whistles. Last year I bought the regular brass version which is maybe a little louder. But, both serve the purpose or calling our kids at recess and are free blowing and can be heard by all kids near and far.

Beautiful and LOUD

I’ve used Acme Thunderer whistles for bird-dog training for over fifty years, but I’ve never before seen one this gorgeous. Much like my son’s ex-wife, it is beautiful and LOUD.
