These are awesome and you can't beat the price
I read a bunch of reviews and a few of them pointed out that the negative reviews were probably because of people not knowing how to use them or the app. I decided to give them a try and ordered eleven of these, one for each of my chevy volt 48v 12s battery packs. I downloaded the app from the Google Play store and was not shocked to find that people were correct, there is little description and it is in Chinglish which is not very helpful but with a little effort on my part, I could figure out what they were attempting to say. I watched a couple of videos on youtube but those were more on the BMS and not my 12s active balancer but they did help me to feel more confident that I was setting these up correctly. From there it went smoothly. The app has you guessing but it's really quite simple. I have eleven batteries that are going to be set up in parallel for a 48v 500aH system. Step one, click on local as these active balancers use bluetooth. Step two (for me) select parallel battery configuration. Step three, click on the plus next to each of my batteries to add them to my system. Step four, go back to the previous page which now lists my batteries by their bluetooth address. Step five (repeated for each battery) click on the ID and that takes you to the setup pages where you change the parameters, when you attempt to set the first one it will ask for your password, enter 123456 and it won't ask again unless you leave this battery's set up and return to it later. Simple. Now that I have them set up, they are doing a wonderful job at keeping my batteries' cells well balanced. This is exactly what I needed and they work flawlessly. The 13 pin cable is plenty long for me to make a cable to connect to my battery's built in connector and since I had the pinout for the chevy volt battery it was a very simple process. I could not have asked for a better product at a better price. I will review again in a few months to update on how these are holding up but I do expect good things to report.

Must have item for your Daly BMS
I purchased a Daly BMS from Amazon years ago. My system is 16S/48v LifePO4 (300ah). I have had several batteries go bad over the years because they are improperly balanced. While Daly has "Balancing" on their BMS it's not active balancing. Even with daily charging and discharging the built-in function on the BMS is insufficient to maintain battery health. This has cost me over $1000 in battery failures. After installing the Smart equalizer the system is now balancing nicely even with the larger batteries. I initially had a few issues which was largely due to the lack of documentation. Fortunately, there are some end-user videos on YouTube. My balancer appeared to be DEAD. There are other 1-star reviews claiming the same. Probably those units were just fine. The system has one LED that only comes on when actively balancing. The default for active balancing startup is at 3.0v. This means ALL of your batteries must be 3v or higher to start balancing. I had one battery that was just under 3v. This setting can be changed in the Daly app. The second issue I had was I didn't see the Bluetooth dongle in the app. I swapped the Bluetooth from my regular Daly BMS and it worked. This allowed me to update the starting voltage. It turns out you have to add the Bluetooth dongle to the app to see it. A poor UI design in my opinion. To Fix this open the "SMART BMS" app then click on "local monitoring". Next change your battery selection to a different selection than what is currently selected, even if you are on the correct setting. This will display a link "Search". Click on search and add your device(s) to the app. Now change the battery type back to the correct one if needed. Also, you can confirm the Bluetooth is broadcasting by going to your phone connections and checking under Bluetooth / available devices. You won't be able to connect to it in this method but at least you can see its broadcasting. The Bluetooth dongle has a label with the Bluetooth broadcast ID printed on it. Hopefully, this helps out anyone else experiencing the same issues. So far I am very happy to have active balancing enabled. Batteries were within .05v difference within a day. You can select balancing all the way down to .02v in the app but .05v is the default setting.

works. bluetooth interface needs refinement.
Works as advertised, blue tooth connection is funky/intermittent for me even when working at very close range. integration with bms screens and equalizer screens is not seamless in the android app.

Great product and A1 Customer Service
Product works perfectly, I'm running two Lithium banks parallel and it's keeping all my cells charging evenly. Super easy to use and simply does it's job. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For the Customer service member Wendy, she was super helpful in making sure I received the exact model I needed.

Defective product
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Dead on arrival. 6S harness crimped and continuity tested OK. Plugged into Tesla module, Daly device did not turn on. Tesla module BMS reads power otherwise.

Seems to do what it says it should do
I bought this at the same time as a Daly BMS unit. It uses the same bluetooth software to control. It seems very solid, had no issues wiring it (it's just picky, painstaking work, you have to get the order correct), and it was easy to configure. Should help with top-balancing the pack. Please see my other review for the Daly BMS, I had some issues with the first BMS unit they sent but they stood behind thier gear and sent me a replacement. Good folks to work with.
