If you have lipo batteries, you need one of these
Great little battery checker. Easy to use. Directions are simple and clear enough to understand. I didn't need the servo tester portion of the tester but i'm glad to have it for the future. You need to connect the 3-5v battery to the servo in side to use it though. It has a nice bright display. I love that you can cycle through and quickly see each cell voltage or the total voltage. Connecting the battery balance plug incorrectly doesn't hurt the tester which is a nice feature.

Worth the money
Checks cells. Can display individual cells or as a whole pack voltage. Also tells the battery percentage.

If you fly electric this is a great tool
No electric RC airplane flyer should not have this tester.

Not very accurate, no IR readings
The voltage readings are not accurate to other battery cell checkers. It works ok for discharging, but there is not a feature for balancing or IR readings. I bought 2 different lipo checkers, watched many youtube reviews on the functions of this particular checker, and I do not trust the individual cell readings especially on 4s lipos it reads high on cell 4. Its useful but not the most accurate.

RC CellMeter 8 Digital Battery Capacity Checker Servo Tester LCD Backlight
Received my RC CellMeter 8 yesterday and put it right to use. Works great and I needed the backlight, one of the reasons I purchased it. I always check my batteries before and after each flight. The CellMeter will go with me whenever I fly and while charging batteries at home. If you have batteries, you need one of these meters to make sure your batteries are up to par.

Super easy to use and automatically stops discharges battery to approx 3.7V
Very easy tool to use! Make sure that you plug in your battery with the negative side facing up and use the all the pins available starting from position 1. If you don't use the first pin available and insert your battery arbitrarily in any other available pin slot, the device will not turn on. It has a very handy feature that automatically discharges LIPO batteries to 3.7V - the recommended charge for long term LIPO storage.

Accurate readings and the back light is great
Through the years, I have purchased many cell meters that are similar to this one. All worked well, but they all lacked a back light. This meter has excellent accuracy and, because of the backlight, is easy to read both indoors and outdoors. I am very pleased with it.

Does not work with AOKoda discharge setup
Cell Meter 8 discharge function did not work with AOKoda bulb harness and AOKoda module, also beep didn't. Returning for replacement. Meter seemed to work OK otherwise. Hope replacement works with AOKoda setup. FP Drone label on meter box is LSDX1. Update: Replacement Cell Meter 8 did not work either with AOKoda bulb harness, etc. to discharge lipo packs. I'm keeping the replacement for its percentage of charge display feature plus this one's beeper works. BTW, I also bought a Hobbymate AKA "portrait style" meter/AOKoda lipo discharging combo that works like a champ, brought 14 lipo packs to 3.7 volts per cell in a couple of hours.

OK, but....
Does not come with the load for discharging the battery cells

Not accurate enough
Wildly inaccurate readings against multimeter and icharger dx8. Fresh off a storage charge, readings varied by over 200 millivolts. Unacceptable quality control, not worthwhile returning even. Out 18 dollars
