No Framelines
I ignored all the other bad reviews thinking “well it’s cheap, as long as it functions that’s fine” Well, it’s cheap relative to the insane $250 official Ricoh GR viewfinder, but still too overpriced. This should cost $2 it’s so bad The plastic lens distorts the image like you’re looking through the bottom of a coke bottle, the field of view isn’t correct, and there are no frame lines so you can’t use this in any accurate way for framing so it has no practical use. I might try to etch in my own frame lines to salvage it, but I would not recommend buying

Quick way to frame it!
Handy, tiny (really tiny), quick way to frame a 35mm field of view…could be better and less costly but does the job and I found the view to be quite clear….

Better than expected with caveats
I wanted a hot shoe viewfinder for my Panasonic Lumix S9 with a rear screen only. I also wanted the viewfinder to work with my TTartisan 40mm f/2 lens which make for a very compact FF carry. I ordered all three of the possible Amazon viewfinders: The Lichifit 40mm, the Smallrig 28mm and the TTArtisan 35mm to compare. The TTArtisan was eliminated being really large with poor field lines barely if not at all visible. The Smallrig was hopeful being really tiny with bright viewfinder. Unfortunately the 28mm view was really distorted with no clear edges viewable. The Lichifit matched my 40mm lens field of view and is REALLY tiny. It fits on my S9 very compactly. ALL three were very blurry equally with my glasses on, being moderately near sighted. ALL three performed dramatically better without glasses, my near focus is really good. ALL three required looking tightly against the rear optic, the view rendered VERY clear with viewfinder edges seen, unlike the blurry mess all three rendered with glasses on. I chose the Lichifit 40mm because besides size it actually was the sharpest of the three. It very closely matched the 40mm lens view on S9 screen. I thought the Smallrig and TTArtisan 28mm and 35mm fields could be compensated with guessing the 40mm field but neither have enough clearly rendered framing to do so. I'm glad I bought the Lichifit 40mm despite the really awful reviews on it. For me the Lichifit has the BEST optical clarity as long as I view without glasses on. The tiny (really tiny) size is a plus for my use, I don't want bigger hanging off my hot shoe. I bought the Panasonic S9 for it's small size. Being 1/3rd to 1/2 the price of the alternatives convinced me to return both Smallrig and TTArtisan finders. Both of those have clearly superior construction, it's very plasticity but for price I could simply buy another if broken. These viewfinders REALLY need diopter adjustment dials, all are sharp enough to deserve better. Regrettably they're all hobbled without one, unless you're near sighted, then mostly great.

You can see through it!
You can through it! Just. Honestly, its like looking through one of those keychain peephole photo chotchki you get from a fair or amusement park. That is the quality to expect. That said, it will help you frame your image if the sun is too bright to see your LCD, so in that context it's worth it. Photos are pretty representative of the product.

Such a simple part what could go wrong?
I really can’t understand how the manufacturer messed this up. But somehow, this little viewfinder came out blurry. I bought it because it looked like a cute little accessory for my Lumix GF 1 camera. It fits nicely in the slot on top of my camera because my camera does not have a viewfinder. I thought this would help lineup photos in bright sunlight. You can still do that, but it’s annoying how blurry this is and it makes you not want to use it at all. You win some and you lose some. Sorry to say, this one definitely was a loss. When you manufacture photography related equipment one thing you should strive for is clarity in an optic, even if it’s plastic. Yep, this one falls short.

It's very rinkydink but works
Its just a plastic cube that sits in the hot shoe. Perfect for my Instax Mini Evo. It's pretty close to the same frame lines in terms of FOV.

Absolute unmitigated rubbish
This is horrible. You can barely see through it, the frame lines are invisible, the whole thing resembles looking through the bottom of a glass bottle! The worst thing I have ever purchased on Amazon.. Not worth 50 cents. It lasted about 45 seconds on my Ricoh GRlllx before I instituted a return.

Inutilisable

100% Fun
I ordered 35mm. I use it on my Sony ZVE10 with a Samyang 24mm f2.8 lens (=36mm). I turn off the camera screen and use Auto Mode. 80% accuracy. 100% fun. Recommended.

視力に左右されます
接眼レンズを取り付ける位置を調整できるようになっていますが、遠視気味の私にはまだピントが合いづらく、メガネをずらして見ています。画角は合っていそう。
