Part of the South-Western Computer Education Series, this text includes features that make learning easy and enjoyable - yet - challenging for learners. The text includes a wide range of learning experiences from activities with one or two commands to simulations and case studies that challenge and sharpen learners' problem-solving skills. This book is ideal for computer courses with learners who have varying abilities and previous computer experiences. The book covers Office 2000 Basics and the Internet, Word, Excel, Access. PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher and FrontPage. Review: Same textbook used in the Vo-Tech high school - When I decided to join the "computer-age", back in 2006, I took a couple of introductory computer courses & purchased my first lap-top computer. Then when I decided I needed to take a course in Word 2003, I took introductory & intermediate courses in Word. The teacher for that course displayed the text they used for the high school students there & encouraged the class of Adult-Ed students to purchase it. desertcart had it for just under $10 with postage. I got two copies of the text by accident, but took it to class & one of my classmates purchased it from me. The main negative point was the spiral binding had been abused. I got a bunch of binder rings at Staples & replaced the wire binding with them. I have this book in my filing cabinet beside my computer & refer to it now & then. It was definately worth the price! This book has, not only Word, but also Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, & Frontpage! If I decide to take courses in those other programs, I have the text for them also, as long as the school continues to use XP in the school computers.
