When extended, will it stay ('lock' into place) or is it constantly trying to retract? I need one that will stay extended

Is the belt loop clip metal or plastic

It is metal, pretty sturdy. It has taken a beating. I spend about 1/3 of my day unlocking things 🤣 it has really held up well

Is it really a heavy duty retractable keychain?

Although the casing is plastic, but it uses screws, I previously bought without screws, this is very good, very sturdy.

How many keys can the badge reel hold?

I only take 3 keys with me when I go out and I just tested it and I only found 17 keys and it still works that.
