SMALLRIG RM120 RGB Video Light 5000mAh, 12 Effects 2500-8500K Dimmable-3808

I bought this as a portable fill or emergency light for video and it does this very well. It can provide illumination in different colours and flash to represent police fire brigade etc. It feels solid but is small and light enough to keep in my camera bag all the time. I’ve also found it great for use with my iPhone. Mobile phones don’t do well at higher iso and this light can be good for a stop of two at a push.

Very impressed with this light. It comes with a screw mount and offers excellent control over brightness levels. Battery life is great so far. I have used it for around four hours and it is still going strong. The colour options are excellent. You can easily change both the colours and brightness and everything works smoothly. All the buttons feel solid and responsive, and I really like the dedicated on off switch on the top. It also comes with a small silicone diffuser which is a nice touch and helps soften the light when needed. Overall, it is great value for money and I would highly recommend it.

This light really exceeded my expectations. A powerful light, with great battery life and lots of lighting options. The thing I appreciate the most though are the controls - a proper on/off switch and a rotary dial for brightness. The unit is really nicely made. The option to re-charge while using is also a great feature. Thoroughly recommended.

Bright, suitable for accurate colour reproduction, not too heavy. Could be brighter. Mounts well, but the mount did bend after 5 months of pointing the camera straight down. Kinda expensive but very reliable so far.

Useful little light. Not super bright so it's a lot more of a fill than key light, but it's portable and the difuser is quite handy. I like the controls on it too, they're easy to use. Have not used the app yet and I'm not too fussed about the effects. Battery lasted longer than I thought it would at about 60-70% brightness (3-4ish hours).

I bought this on a recommendation for a somewhat unusual application; miniature painting. The colour rendering is absolutely superb and it’s surprisingly bright too. I bought a basic but sturdy boom arm with a 1/4”-20 mount that clamps to my desk and the combination is brilliant. The colour temperature can range from 2500k (very warm) to 8500k (cold) but I set it at 4600K and it’s a perfect neutral light close to early afternoon sun. I get around 2.5 hours of use from a charge but if I want to paint longer I can plug it in with a USB-C cable. I think two of these would be a flawless and portable lighting set up for painting/modelling and would do double duty for photographing miniatures and still be cheaper than the brilliant Redgrass R9.

Decent enough at the price. Doesn’t have a really bright output but it’s pocketable and very useful for taking out for macro photos. Lots of different settings although I just tend to use the white light.

Bought as a macro light. Works really well, slim, quite bright and easy to change colours. It charged quite quickly, haven't yet found out how long a charge lasts. It arrived with a silicon diffuser, which wraps around the light front and sides and acts like a case as well. There are holes cut for plug points etc. in the silicone. I feel this is definately going to be a light I use a lot. As with all smallrig products it feels very sturdy, made of metal not plastic.

Great light that I attached to my top handle for better and very mobile video lighting. Battery lasts long and it's quite powerful light as well. Lasted me well over a whole day of a 12 hour shoot where I shot dozens of interviews close up (but I turned off the light in between recordings of course). Only downside I can think of is that the effects don't have a lot of settings and a cold shoe with anti twist pin doesn't really fit when the diffuser is attached - but I managed to fix this by cutting the silicone strip that blocks the cold shoe from fully connecting to the screw hole + anti twist pin hole.

Nonostante sia leggero e compatto, dà una sensazione premium e solida in mano :) Qualità della luce Uno dei punti forti è sicuramente la qualità della luce: CRI e TLCI superiori a 98 → colori molto fedeli Temperatura regolabile da 2500K a 8500K → perfetto sia per luce calda che fredda Modalità RGB completa con controllo preciso di tonalità e saturazione In pratica puoi usarlo sia come luce principale in situazioni ravvicinate, sia come luce d’atmosfera per effetti creativi. La luminosità arriva a circa 1580 lux a distanza ravvicinata, più che sufficiente per vlog, interviste o foto prodotto. 🎬 Funzioni e modalità Molto interessanti le modalità FX integrate (ben 12), tra cui: lampeggianti tipo polizia/ambulanza effetto candela o TV fulmini, fuochi d’artificio, ecc. Sono utili per video creativi senza dover usare software o accessori aggiuntivi. Batteria e autonomia La batteria integrata da 5000 mAh offre circa 2-3 ore di utilizzo a piena potenza. Ovviamente aumentando la luminosità l’autonomia cala, ma per sessioni normali è più che sufficiente. Ricarica via USB-C, quindi comodissima anche con powerbank! Non sostituisce fari più grandi, ma per dimensioni e prezzo offre davvero tanto.

Cette lampe est parfaite. Elle éclaire très bien, je l'ai laissée allumée à 100% elle a duré dans les 3h30. Smallrig oublie de préciser qu'elle n'est pas RGB mais RGBW, ce qui est beaucoup mieux puisqu'elle fournit en plus un blanc parfait et une multitude de pastels vraiment très jolis. Elle peut être fixée de façon horizontale ou verticale. Je l'ai achetée pour la macro et là je suis sûre qu'elle ne va pas me lâcher au bout de 20 minutes. Son gros diffuseur souple qui peut être retiré bien sûr fait office de très bonne protection. Elle fonctionne quand elle est en rechargement. Vous pouvez vous en servir pour mettre de l'ambiance tout simplement. J'ai fait une erreur à la commande, j'en ai commandé deux sans m'en apercevoir. Et bien je garde les deux !
