Huperzine A 200mcg (Third Party Tested) 120 Tablets, Brain Supplement to Promote Acetylcholine (Acetylcholinesterase Inhibitor) - Supports Memory and Focus by Double Wood

I bought this item specifically to see if it would increase dream vividness and recall. While it’s often marketed more broadly, that was the only aspect I was interested in and the only thing I’m evaluating here. In my experience, it noticeably increased how often I remembered my dreams and how detailed they were. Normally I rarely recall dreams at all, but while using this, I was able to remember them much more consistently. I’ve tried other products aimed at dream enhancement that required awkward timing (like waking up in the middle of the night) or caused issues like restlessness. This didn’t have those drawbacks. It was simple to use and didn’t introduce any noticeable side effects for me. Overall, this has been the most straightforward option I’ve tried for increasing dream recall. As with any supplement, individual responses can vary.

I started out 7years ago and ramped up using another brand (Source Naturals), but changed to yet another brand after several happy years due to ridiculous price increases... sadly I noticed a rapid decline and my vivid dreams stopped happening. IMMEDIATELY when I started using the Double Wood Huperzine-A, ALL WAS BACK TO NORMAL and I'm happy again. I am very pleased now because I thought the end was near while taking the other (unnamed) brand. Just be warned some of the OTC stuff is not the real thing. Let me tell a little bit about the magic of this product to those of you who have never tried it. Especially for an older guy like me with declining memory and tenacity and concentration.... this product coupled with Vinpocetine, will make a huge difference in your life at a very reasonable cost. No need to pay big prescription bills, no need to be disappointed by false claims... this works and works very well. Younger people, and students can benefit cramming for exams... I'm told that is one of its main functions. IMPORTANT SIDE EFFECTS: 1. Overdosing causes irritability and aggressive tendencies 2. Vivid, realistic dreams... 3D, High Def, Very Real Dreams! It takes time after waking up to shake the feeling of a disturbing dream, but most of my dreams have been excitingly interesting and enjoyable. Some would make good movies. THAT SHOULD BE ALL THE INFO NEEDED TO GET YOU INTERESTED, BUT THERE'S MORE DETAIL BELOW IF YOU WANT IT: I knew my brain was getting weak and I knew I was having trouble remembering (often important) things. It was getting to the point that I could re-watch an entire movie that I knew I had seen, without recognizing a single thing. That could be an advantage, I guess, but soon you start to wonder what else you've forgotten all about... good times and important bad lessons! I started to wonder if someday I'd be the guy you see in the movies where the children visit and talk, but I never understand or respond. Watch the 60-Minutes series about that lady who eventually didn't know her husband's name and actually didn't even recognize him! My Mom went through that and even began to think she was my sister... confusing for both of us! I first told my doctor about the problems, and he tried to laugh it off (VA) and said it's just a side effect of aging, but he prescribed Donepezil but that had no effect, so I wanted to believe him. Eventually he gave me Galantamine and I'm not sure that helped my memory, but wow my dreams were so good they became my favorite source of entertainment. But then my Mom got put on Excelon patches and I got my first taste of real help... to an extent... they cost $250 a month. I felt the difference in only a few days. Memory much improved, motivation and concentration came back too. But that was too expensive so I kept looking for something cheaper and eventually found Huperzine A. Soon after, I added Vinposetine because that was supposed to up it even more.... and they were right, except my dreams then became even more intense for a time, now I'm either used to them or they have mellowed somewhat. But let me tell you, I have tenacity like never before, remembering details I had not thought about for many years. I know this works. Some people disagree, but those of us who know would never be without those two inexpensive concoctions ever again.

Purchase 8 times with excellent results, with boost in cognition, memory and mood without any stimulant effects. The exception was this last bottle purchased 10/24, which I just finished and had zero results. Huperzine-A and Huperzia Serrata are NOT the same thing. Huperzine-a is standardized while Huperzia Serrata is not, so no telling how much of the active ingredient you're getting. I only use it once a week and rarely twice, because of its long 10–14-hour half-life. Huperzine-a boost brain power by blocking the enzyme that breaks down choline, so using it daily can cause a buildup of choline with symptoms like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea/constipation, anxiety, insomnia, dizziness, thirst and muscle tremors, so it's important to cycle and not use more than every other day or third day. I'm including this information because many unknowingly follow the directions on the label not realizing the side effects.

This Huperzine-A is a favorite of mine. My husband and brother both swear by it, how much it has helped them, how it has improved their memory and cognitive abilities. I was skeptical, but my husband kept encouraging me to give it a try, when I was feeling overwhelmed at work and having difficulty thinking through stressful situations. I tried it, my husband and brother both encouraging me to give it some time. It's starts small, not really obvious, but things like I could make better connections, and make better split second decisions. I didn't notice it at first because I didn't 'feel' any different, I was just making better choices and having less episodes of feeling overwhelmed or zoning out. Looking back, that was after the first week or so. Taken longer, and I started feeling mentally alert: faster reflexes, more aware of what was happening around me, more observant and able to tackle difficult situations before they got out of hand. Generally less stressed. It has really helped me get through a high stress job. I am sold on this product, I think it is a high quality supplement that does what it claims. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a mental boost. I would just encourage them to take it regularly for at least a month, possibly more, to really experience the full effect. Definitely worth the money and the wait.

I love this Supplement as it really helped me. I read somewhere that this supplement can be a good substitute for ADHD prescription. I have severe symptoms of ADHD and I haven’t been formally diagnosed due to some insurance issues. In the meantime, I decided to do some research on supplements that can help me with my difficulty focusing and staying motivated. Then, I come across this supplement. I took this supplement for a week and the stopped taking it the following week. During the week that I took this supplement, I felt really focused & motivated. I finish all the task I have in my to do list. I was able to concentrate on the sequencing of my tasks. I also exercised better when I took this supplement. The following week I did not took this supplement, I came back to my old self. I don’t have difficulty completing tasks but I have difficulty focusing on one task before starting another. I also had a hard time static motivated with my workout goals without this supplement. Something about this supplement made me really want to run longer & faster. I did not experience any side effects other than I had a hard time going to sleep & staying asleep while I’m taking this supplement. I countered the side effects by working out longer or working out twice a day & making sure I burn as much energy as possible so I’m tired enough to stay asleep all night.

I got into trouble with Huperzine A. Actually both my husband and I had bad experiences. I took 100 mcg for 4 days. The first 2 were amazing. By the end of the third, I was a little nauseous. Then, at the end of the fourth day, I was dizzy, nauseous, had higher blood pressure, hot and cold flashes, chest pressure, so many things! Apparently, these are all signs of too much acetylcholine. According to neutral depot, you’re supposed to take this one day on and two days off at doses closer to 50 than 200! This happened to me three days ago and I still feel pretty bad. This is the same thing in the energy drinks and they say nothing about this on them. Also, anyone with a heart issue should steer clear. And also causes increased mucus in the G.I. track which could lead to gallbladder or appendix issues among other things. my suggestion? If you’re going to use it… Microdose. Don’t take every day.

I first started taking huperzine-A in December 2018 when I suspected I have a neuromuscular disease called myasthenia gravis but several of the first doctors I visited failed to diagnose me or trial me on any pharmaceuticals. A review of published medical literature on treatment of myasthenia gravis, led me to huperzine. Product reviews for Double Wood were encouraging so I ordered the first of many bottles. At the time I took my first dose, I had been using a wheelchair for six weeks because I was too weak to walk. Within an hour my strength improved. I was able to get out of my wheelchair and began walking again. I had a headache the first few days of use but that went away. If I stop huperzine for a few days (has been necessary for some tests) and begin again, the same headache comes back. If you're interested in seeing the benefits of huperzine I recommend sticking past the headache. It's worth it. Huperzine-A works as a cholinesterase inhibitor, it blocks the breakdown of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that allow nerves to communicate with muscles allowing them to contract. Once I had huperzine in my system, my nerves could communicate with my muscles again. It was amazing to me how quickly it worked. It has the added benefit that it clears thinking as well. I continued to use huperzine exclusively until my diagnosis of myasthenia gravis became official in May 2019. In addition to traditional treatments and pharmaceuticals, I continue to use huperzine at night, with approval from my neurologist. I'm a lifelong fan of huprzine and the Double Wood brand.

I have been taking Huperzine-A for a few months now, and I really like it and had no side effects. Even though I take less than the recommended daily dose; usually one a day. I feel more focused, alert and productive, and my memory improved quite a bit. I have stopped using it all together every now and then to see if I feel off in any way but i just went back to my normal. something interesting to add, when I take it with coffee, the effect almost doubles. I will definitely buy it gain... highly recommended

I purchased this due to the high ratings on Amazon.com. It didn't take a long time considering the vendor mailed it all the way from the US. I got the Huperzine A mainly for lucid dreaming and as an occasional brain boost for studying, though most people don't recommend taking it daily or else you'll stop noticing the benefits. Totally recommended!

Amazing clarity and presence in each moment after taking this supplement in the mornings. Incredibly helpful for sports as focus and muscle control also seems improved. Will continue to use! Have a sensitive stomach and never had any issues taking it - even without food.

It works very good for clearing brainfog and and you get a good amount! Pills are top quality compressed type. They don't fall apart and I find it useful to differentiate them when on the go with other supplements.
