It’s a great upgrade! The light is bright enough to light the tank from front to back. The previous light was too narrow and dim. I like the app. You have to upgrade the firmware on the lamp when you first connect it. I think that is why some may be having an issue with the app. Also I at first downloaded the wrong Tuya app so be aware that there another app. You want the Tuya smart app. All said I think this is a pretty good light.
