I had to replace the one I had one of the grandchildren wanted to take it to school My grandchildren all enjoy this book as it has a cute story and all the characters are real people drawn in to it The man who did this book was a great teacher of native language and culture need others to share like this

This is such a sweet story! I love the representation of native people, the kindness the animals offer, the beautiful artwork… if you buy one, buy a second to gift to someone else!

Good read for not only children but, adults as well . I read this to my granddaughter and upon completion she immediately wanted me to read it again. Leaves you with a greater appreciation for the natural world and all its creatures

I bought this book to read to my grandchildren and they made me read it again and again.They love Zoo Sap and the animals in the forest. I grew up in Maine and I loved the story. Waiting for Allend to write another book, the website is an added bonus. The book being read by both Allen in his native tongue and another reading it in English is pretty incredible. Bravo!!

This is an excellent book about giving thanks, while steering faaaar away from any of the stereotypical Thanksgiving stories. My 2 1/2 year old children are Oglala Lakota and we were looking for something specifically like this to have their daycare read to the class.

I have met Allen and hope to meet him again to get him to sign my book. I read it to my grandchildren and they enjoyed it so much,that each time they come over they want me to read it again to them.

very sweet and simple, I love that the father thanks each animal, one by one, there is a warm feeling of attention and consideration for each and every animal who contributed to keeping the baby safe.
