**Q: Question continue: after replace it, it worked. why is this happen? was it defect at first? i want to hear from seller. thanks**
A: This is not a defect, this is designed for different sealing effects, some people just need to seal the bag, they can use 3mm heating wire. Some people need to cut off the excess of the bag from the welded point after sealing. This is where another thin wire is needed. The working principle is: heating a relatively thin electric heating wire, melting the plastic bag at the welding point, sealing and cutting at the same time. The method of use is the same: adjust the temperature → press the handle → complete the sealing and cutting → tear off the cut part

**Q: Will this work on tarp material?**
A: If this material will melt when heated, it can be used

**Q: Does this give a crimped style seal?**
A: This heat sealer makes flat surfaces sealed. Alternatively the cutting line inside the package can be replaced for sealing and cutting off excess.

**Q: What size are the cutting lines?  I am looking for 5mm.**

That teflon roll is very nice in appearance with plenty of footage to work with over time. I typically buy pre-cut strips for my plastic film sealer but they are sometimes a centimeter too short for full coverage. The width is spot on for my needs. Note: I have yet to use this Teflon as of time of review posting, but it seems of good quality for my needs.
