HP laser printer
I purchased the printer via Amazon resale, used-like new, because I have had good results with other devices. The savings was great. I took off a star only for the packaging. I’m otherwise very pleased. There was packing paper at the top of the box but the sides were unpadded, so the printer was loose in the box, free to bounce around. The paper tray on top was scratched. That could have very likely been a result of shipping, but either way just cosmetic. There was no usb cable included, so I used the one from my old printer. That’s all I needed to do to print instantly from my laptop. I then used the Ethernet cable (which was included) to connect the printer to my router, and it was instantly a wireless printer, findable by any device on the network. No other setup was required, and it prints fast. I’m glad the product wasn’t damaged in shipping (other than a tiny scratch), and so far I’m happy with my purchase.

A Printer I Keep Coming Back To
The HP LaserJet Pro 4001dn has been an excellent printer for everyday use. The setup was straightforward, and it was ready to print in just a few minutes. Print speeds are very fast, and the text comes out crisp and professional every time. It's a great choice for home offices or small businesses that need dependable black-and-white printing. I also like the mobile printing feature, which makes it convenient to print documents from my phone or laptop. The printer has been reliable, handles larger print jobs without any issues, and the automatic duplex printing helps save paper. Overall, it's a high-quality printer that delivers great performance and value. Highly recommended!

JUNK
I ordered 3 of these for a client. They kept going into sleep mode and you had to turn it off and back on to print. Seems they have to be connected to the internet and print through TCP/IP or something. This client doesn't have internet ports available right now. Direct USB printing only. One was wouldn't install correctly then died. No reset or screen. Error buttons flashing. No communications. HP knowledge base was zero help. Do not waste your money. I returned all three and the extra sheet feeders with them I ordered. Sad waste of my time and client's time. Now I have hours of messing with these and I cannot bill for that. As the solution failed.

Great printer at a great price
This printer is amazing. Great price, easy setup. I highly recommend it. The printer we replaced was old and had seen better days. This HP 4001, my wife was printing a 2 page document and the printer automatically printed on one piece of paper, both sides, PERFECT.

Duplexing is a weakness
Generally a good printer for the price. The 600 dpi resolution is quite good for most printing, but not not as good as my old 1200 dpi HP printer when it comes to reading tiny print. To Duplex, the printer prints all the odd number pages single-sided then you have to flip the stack of pages over and feed it back into the printer so so the printer can print the even numbered pages on the other side rather than printing each sheet front and back as it prints like more expensive printers.
