My daughter purchased this using her birthday money, as she had been after a kids kindle for a while. It arrived promptly and was well packaged. I found it very easy to set up for her and within a few minutes she was downloading books on it. She learnt how to use it so quickly due to how user friendly it is. The battery life is brilliant and the case ensures no scratches when used outside the house. Excellent value for money considering it also comes with 12 months of kids plus and a case. It is ignited my daughters love for reading.

This Kindle for Children is to all intents and purpose like the Adult version of this model, with the pros of getting a great sturdy switch on-off cover, and two years' warranty included in the price, not being so for the adult one. The Kindle itself is such an advance over my 13 year old one, both in terms of speed, capacity and clarity of screen. The biggest pro however is the ability to read in complete darkness, or low light. Highly recommend, especially when on special, which it was when I bought it.

I purchased this version for myself and so my son could use occasionally however i believed it was ad free which it is in kids mode only. I did contact customer services who cannot turn ads off their end so will now need to pay another 10pound. My own fault for not reading properly but im quite disappointed with this and wish i just brought the standard no ads edition now. Pros. Sturdy little case and screen. Lightweight. Easy to read in any lights. Long lasting battery. A little bit slow at times but to be expected

This is the perfect kindle for children learning to read (or adults who like a smaller device!) It comes already fitted with a case which saves you some money too. It’s much lighter than my paper white kindle so makes it easy for my six year old daughter to hold for extended reading sessions.

This was on my daughter’s wish list for her birthday all year she absolutely loves it and uses it daily. Love having a device purely for reading; away from the distractions of other tablets. The pairing with adult kindle and being able to share selected books onto the children’s kindle is a fantastic feature which shows the great consideration whilst designing the children’s kindle. The reading awards have been of great encouragement for my daughter who used to be a reluctant reader. The easily accessible dictionary whilst reading has also boosted her confidence enormously.

I bought a Kindle Kids for my son 2 months ago to listen to audiobooks. It had been working fine with some Bluetooth headphones also bought on Amazon but it suddenly stopped connecting. We tried rebooting the kindle, making sure everything was fully charged, turning off all other Bluetooth devices. It flashes up with the headphones but only briefly connects before dropping the connection. I wrote on Amazon community forum. Heard nothing back. I tried Amazon Chat - just got a generic bot that kept sending me in circles. It’s is useless that not only can Amazon not get something as simple as a Bluetooth connection right, but that it’s customer service is such a useless black hole.
