**Q: Are these wider than normal pocket protectors? I need one for my lab coat and i've noticed that most of them do not hold many pens. Thanks.**
A: It is recommended to hold 5 regular size pens. 
The width of this pocket protector is 3.5 inches. Regular PVC pocket protector is 3.35inch to 3.5inch wide. FYI.

**Q: Do they have these any wider so I can also hold my eyeglasses possible 4 1/2 inch wide?**
A: Hello, at this moment, we do not have a 4 1/2 wide version. Sorry about that.

**Q: Is PU leather real leather?**
A: It is a type of thick and durable PU leather.

**Q: Does the outside flap flip out at all? Want to embroider so need the flap out to get under the machine.**
A: Since it's a pocket protector the flap has to slide over a shirt pocket.  If you look at the sixth image you get a close-up of the stitching.  You can see that the flap does not actually flip out, but you might be able to sew on the lower half.
