We used it for the ceiling sprinkler. the sprinkler was recessed a bit in the ceiling to cover.

Will this fit as a replacement for a central 135 degree f/57 degree c cover? dimensions look to be the same.

No they will not fit the central heads. Even though dimensions look the same, you should always replace using the same brand and model assigned to your sprinkler head.

I failed the fire inspection in the building I live in, (no one painted over the drop-down fire sprinkler plates). They needed replacing because of that and their age. I took several down and gathered everything needed to see the correct numbers to order. Perfect, I ordered them and they were the smallest bit off and would not fit. Yes. I tried everything, after all these were the exact replacements. I destroyed one completely. By the time I got around to figuring out what to do, I can no longer return them. Now I get to agg more stuff to our landfill. This is my fault, no one else, I guess over time these sprinkler holes change?
