Apple LED Cinema Thunderbolt Display 27 Inch (Renewed)

Amazon needs to update the name of this product – There is NO such thing as an "Apple LED Cinema Thunderbolt Display." These are actually two separate products and Amazon mangled the names together into one. I received a 27" LED Cinema Display (model # MC007LL or A1316). These have a permanent cord attached with 3 plugs – MagSafe, USB-A, and MiniDisplay Port. The 27" Thunderbolt Display (model # MC914LL or A1407) has a permanent cord with 2 plugs – MagSafe and Thunderbolt 2. Unfortunately, the Thunderbolt 2 and MiniDisplay Port look exactly the same. I'm giving this product 5 stars because it's a great monitor and works great – But not on my M1 Macbook Pro, so I have to return it. Be sure to do your research before buying – and Amazon, please update the name and description of this product!

This product is advertised by Amazon as a Apple Cinema Thunderbolt monitor. There is no thunderbolt connection to a computer but rather an older Mini video connection. I bought a mini video/thunderbolt adapter but I couldn't get it to work. The power cord from the monitor to the 110 volt wall receptaacle is not an original Apple cord. It woldn't power up and was useless to me and that is why it was returned.

This refurbished computer screen came in in perfect condition, it looks like new and it behaves like new. There was a note with a number to call for assistance just in case. Even the packaging was hi tech and amazing. Great product and service.

So far, it seems to work ok, but the flat silver finish on the back has some larger scratches.

These are still the most aesthetically beautiful and functional monitors available for general use purposes. The monitor delivered was in excellent condition, and is happily driven by an M* Mac portable, with the provided USB-c adapter.

Watch out when buying from Mac Revive --- They sold me a Thunderbolt which died within 6 months. They hide behind "only a 90 day warranty" and won't refund the $500 I spent on this monitor. That is a messed up way to treat a customer. If this was a $15 -- or even $50 -- item, ok, whatever, my loss. But this is a lot of money; selling something that croaks within 6 moths is super bad business. So again, be very wary of buying anything from Mac Revive. Not a good seller. Look at how many bad ratings they get: Only 56% positive in the last 12 months (54 ratings)

The monitor arrived in pristine condition and works flawlessly. I use this with my M1 Mac Air and M1 Mac mini and the integration is seamless (you do need a thunderbolt two adapter). I can control brightness, use the rear ports and switch to the built in speakers with no problem. Unless you need the 5k resolution of the Studio display save a ton of money and get one of these.

Got the monitor the screen was all scratched up and did not have promised cables or power cord. Went to Apple bought a power cord, got home plugged it in connected to Mac … nothing . Tried my brother’s Mac and multiple outlets nothing!! it did not start up . Because of a move I missed the 90 day return date now I’m stuck with a giant paper weight
