I tried connecting my phone to the tv with this and it did not work. Not sure if it was just my phone or if it was the adapter.

I'm sorry, but this does NOT work. I, too, should have considered the reviews but didn't because finding a way to connect my tablet to the television has been one hair-pulling experience. I have already ordered a different one like this in shape and design, but the problem has been that first one was an "11 pin" which I have not known it would make any difference. So that have become a learning experience of there being two types, even though the slot holes look the same, the "11 pin" and the "5 pin" being the most common one that your USB cable charger connects to on your devices' slot hole. Now we come to this item, thinking it will work now being a "5 pin," but to my disappointment, it doesn't send any signal to the TV. However, for what it's worth, the only good thing that works is the battery charging when you link this up to your device and outlet charger. Why even work and sell something that doesn't work? This has been my second attempt at finding something that can mirror my tablet to no prevail and has become one big headache time-wasting experience.

I had no problem with the product but would not work with my tv.

ordered this to display to my TV, did not work at all. Double checked that it wasn't the HDMI cord by testing it, HDMI cord works perfectly, this did not. POOR QUALITY! Could not return, when the time came to needing it I was past the return window. If you buy, check right away and don't end up like me. Or just buy a different one, this is a piece of junk,

Tried to connect my fone then to projector and it did not mirror at all. Multiple time's. I think either there was a conflict or hardware issie with my fone.

Would have written more about this if my phone had been capable of connecting to this. Was unable to use.

I bought this for my son to be able to connect his phone to his tv. He can't afford cable and he uses his next door neighbor's wifi to watch you tube videos. He is thrilled that it works as well as it does.

It came together okay was not broken the only thing I did not like is I have to buy another piece now and I don't know what kind to get, I will never buy it again I would not suggest it to anyone because you have to buy another part just so you can watch movies from your phone to your tablet are computer or TV so you just keep buying stuff and which they should just add it all together so don't have to keep doing it I think it's a rip-off ,because now you have to pay for shipping once again..
