Is this product closest in Refresh products to the Refresh Repair which was discontinued?

I phoned Allergan, and they told me yes - it's just a new name for Refresh Repair.

Does this contain preservatives? My doctor wants preservative free, but I can't tell what some ingredients like "stabilized oxychloro complex" are.

Refresh Relieva contains PURITE® (stabilized oxychloro complex) is an oxidative-type preservative. When exposed to light, Purite degrades to water, oxygen, sodium, and chlorine free radicals. Looking at several ophthalmology studies, Purite is antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral but has no significant effect on human ocular tissues (i.e., doesn't damage the ocular surface. Clinical trials have shown than Purite is a much gentler preservative than Quaternary Ammonium Compounds such as benzalkonium chloride aka BAK (found in Visine, Rohto, Clear Eyes) or Polyquad (Systane). Of all the preservatives currently being used in eye drops, BAK is the worst. Don't ever choose a dry eye eye drop with BAK.
