I usually don’t write reviews unless I feel strongly about an item one way or another. In this case, I think the item has been quite useful to me. It has saved me from having to bend and pickup. I am tall and not as flexible as I once was. For me that makes an unpleasant task more doable. I like that the bag is on my back and I have both hands free to handle the cord and the pickup vacuum. To minimize clogs I have adopted a few operating rules. 1) Don’t try to feed it too fast. Instead patiently work the edges while watching and listening to how the machine is mulching the pickup. Try to go too fast and you’ll be stopping to take it apart to unclog. Slow and steady wins in this case. 2) Don’t do the pickup when there is dew on the ground or after a rain. The machine tolerates some moisture, but too much and it clogs and it requires more time and effort to get it to pick up. If the leaves are in a big pile and some are damp, spread them out to a thinner layer so they can dry somewhat before you start the clean up. 3) Don’t overfill the bag. Not only is it easier to handle when the bag is only partially full, but the machine works better when it isn’t trying to add more mulch to an already full bag. Instead, I recommend positioning a trash bin close to your work area and emptying the bag frequently. After I adopted these practices, I haven’t had issues with clogging or inadequate suction. I still don’t enjoy picking up leaves in the fall, but the task is much easier with this vacuum/mulcher.

My neighbors in The Villages, Florida, warned me against buying the BLACK+DECKER 3-in-1 Leaf Blower, Vacuum, and Mulcher, insisting it would not perform well and that the mulcher would likely chip or break. They could not have been more wrong, and I am thrilled to prove it. Living here means battling magnolia trees that shed leaves constantly, year-round, turning my yard into a relentless mess. This backpack blower has transformed my cleanup routine. The blower clears piles quickly, the vacuum handles the debris effortlessly, and the mulcher powers through thick leaves, producing neatly compacted bags for easy disposal. There is no chipping or breaking, just consistent, reliable performance designed for Florida's humid, leafy challenges. Having tried cheaper cordless tools that failed after one season, this has become my favorite yard tool. It is comfortable to wear, simple to switch between modes, and powerful enough to tackle large lots with ease. For anyone in a leaf-heavy area like The Villages, ignore the skeptics and get this. It is worth every penny for the time and effort it saves. Five stars.

I recommend this vacuum for dry leaves and grass, but it doesn't have enogh suction to pull leaves that are burried in the grass. If the grass and leaves are wet it doesn't pick them up very well. It also doesn't handle dirt well. I say this becuase when I edge my sidewaek, some dirt comes out of the groove the edger makes and this vacuum doesn't seem to have enough power to suck up the dirt left on the sidewalk; it only works well on grass and leaves. IF the vacuum picks up dirt, the dirt collects around the impellerinside the round plastic Orange housing and eventually slows down the impeller, so you'll need to remove the lower Black vacuum adapter and use your finger (or something) and get all the collected dirt out from around the impeller.

Although this product is a Blower and Vacuum, my primary use for it is as a Yard/Leaf Vacuum. I priced out even a couple of Gas options to allow for more mobility, but for the price, this was a no-brainer. Positives: + Cheap (In price, not quality) + Sets up in minutes (You will need a screwdriver to set it up as a Vac, out of the Box, it's a Blower) + High Power + Backpack debris Bag (This was the big reason I bought this, you can't appreciate how much train on your arm this saves) + Easy to maneuver/carry Negatives: - Corded (This is a good and bad) Being a corded Blower/Vac is both a +/-. I chose to buy a couple of Outdoor Power Cables (100ft each), and using this around my property was really not an issue. You can get electric blowers/vacs. I mean, I am completely sold on a ton of the Ryobi Battery Powered tools, including Yard Tools and I even looked into them, but I have discovered that unless you have the High Capacity Batteries for those, you won't get much time out of them, and some of the yard tools requires a different battery than the 5 you already have. This was also one of the only ones that offered the Backpack bag for debris. Tips: I see several reviews that say this does not contain the debris/mulch. The Backpack bag comes with, you need to roll it over itself a couple of times (Like you are making Pasta), then connect the closure latch. I did not do this initially, and yes, it threw out a portion of what I was vacuuming up, but after realizing I needed to fold the end of the bag (which is designed to do), it worked PERFECTLY! I also noticed that when I initially used it, I picked up wet leaves... Although it picked them up pretty easily, I would recommend not using it to clean up a "Wet Yard". Wait until things are dry. The noise level was very tolerable. When I mow the lawn, I usually have my headphones on as I have a Zero Turn and the motor is right behind my head, the level of this was what I expected. Overall I can't recommend this enough! Buy with Confidence!

This product is horrible. I basically bought if for the vacuum feature so I can vacuum up leaf clippings after I trim 3 bushes in my yard. My previous blower/vacuum (made by a different brand) would suck up all clippings with no problem. This one clogs up constantly - the clippings continually get stuck inside the tube, preventing suction from picking up any more leaves. I spent over an hour repeatedly having to clear the tube. And the clippings that actually did get sucked up and shredded caused the motor to give off a burning smell. It seems that the motor can’t handle shredding even a few leaves. I finally gave up, and picked them up by hand. A complete waste of money. It doesn’t do what it is designed for. Also, to switch over from blower mode to vacuum mode, you have to use a screwdriver (or some other pointed tool) to release the vent cover where the tube fits into. Why not make it with a button to release the vent cover, like others I have used? Who wants to go find a tool while doing yard work. Just another unnecessary step to switch it over. Terrible product, please stay away from this one. Black and Decker - DO BETTER!

OK, I don' know why they keep trying to make these tools do two things: vac and blow leaves. None of them ever do both jobs well, so face it, we all have (or want to have) one tool that vacuums the leaves and one that blows them. With two tools it also keeps you from having to mess with the always frustrating process of switching the tool from one mode to the other. OK, on to what this is good at. This is the BEST leaf vac I've ever used!! I had a Toro, which is still highly rated, but I wasn't super happy with it. Needless to say, when it died, I wasn't all that upset. I actually went and bought the new Toro model hoping it would be better. It wasn't. The ergonomics are all wrong and carrying the bag that's low to the ground is a pain in the you-know-what! Sooooo, when I saw this cool blower/vac/mulcher, I was very excited. Obviously, since it comes with a backpack, they put more emphasis on the vac & mulching aspects, and it shows. This is a terrible leaf blower in my opinion, which is why I have a separate blower for that and that is all it does and it does it quite well. This does not, but, boy does it suck up leaves like a guy at a hotdog eating contest!! How it does that so well without picking up all of my rocks, I don't know, but it does and I am thrilled. My Toro was never this good at picking up leaves, but seemed to always pick up rocks. Go figure. On top of the good suction, the backpack is really a wonderful improvement over most setups. You don't even realize it's full because the weight is so easily carried on your back. This has improved the process of cleaning up my leaves so much, I hardly notice that there's a cord. Of course, if I could find a cordless model with this much suction AND a backpack I would be on that like flies on Grandma's apple pie, but I don't see that happening soon. I also have the B&D 40-volt battery powered sweeper vac and it's great for what I need it for (picking up cotton wood fluff every spring), but it can't pick up a leaf to save its little life! So, having just the cord to drag around and not the heavy bag as well is a HUGE improvement. Now, I had really wanted a vac with a metal impeller and this one is plastic. I'm guessing it might not last as long, but for only $69, I don't really care if I have to replace it every few years. My Toro had a plastic impeller and actually lasted over 8 years, so maybe the metal blade isn't that big a deal. My headline says this is a beast, and it is. At first I thought, dang, this is heavy! I'm a 5'1" female, so the weight has the potential of being a real drag getting stuff done and not running out of gas (me, not the vac, it's electric, remember?). :) But despite the somewhat hefty weight, it's so balanced you don't notice it. It also has an extra handle to spread out the weight even more. Brilliant! I don't write a lot of reviews, but I just had to write about this vac. I absolutely love it and it's the best $70 I've spent in a long time. For the people who said the bag leaks all over the place — not to be mean, but I'm quite baffled how you could not figure this out. You just have to roll the end up a good 3 times or more before you buckle it (I always roll it 3 times). This is so simple I think a 5-year old could figure it out. There are some not so smart people in the world though, and some of them obviously bought this tool. Hopefully you have figured it out by now.

Bought this last year and I was initially pretty satisfied with it. I have a zillion oak and maple trees on a small-ish suburban lot on a steep slope with a fair amount of brush on the ground (moved in recently, dont judge) so this vacuum/mulcher had its work cut out for it. The first couple times I used it, it clogged every few minutes and progress was very slow. I bought a metal impeller to replace the plastic one. With the metal impeller, I made quicker progress and clogged less, but I did still have to unclog it every 10-15 minutes or so. I had a tool with a hooked end I started carrying around to make it easier to clean. Every 2-3 bags I emptied, I had to do a deep clean - unplug, take off tubes, take off blade, scrape out inside, etc. Despite the hassle, it was a huge upgrade over raking. The vacuum function made it easier to bag the leaves for pickup and I found that mulched leaves will disintegrate much quicker if I just leave them in a secluded corner. Given the number of trees and slope and state of my yard, I definitely worked this machine much harder than it was intended to be worked, and I was pretty satisfied. By the end of the season, it was starting to come apart. The body started to separate, the vacuum tube didn't fit snugly anymore, and the tube connected to the bag separated from its connection and also got some holes in it. As a result, I kept getting debris blown in my face through any of the bunch of holes. The blade started clogging more and more - not sure if the air flow leaks had anything to do with it, or maybe the metal blade wasn't mulching as well - it certainly looks worn down now. So I went out and got the Toro 51619, and I've had it now a couple weeks. Which leads to my point: if you hate raking leaves, this is a game changer. If the BD BEBL7000 is the only one available, and you have a flat quarter acre with a few trees, you won't regret buying it. But if the Toro 51619 is available, get that one. It's about the same price, comes with a metal impeller out of the box, sucks more powerfully, has clogged on me literally a single time in a couple weeks rather than 3-4 times an hour, and has a smarter connection method for the bag. Note that the reviews for the Toro also identify some problems, so it's not perfect but it's a big step up from this one for the same price.

I had the prior version of this product abd LOVED IT, except for the bag falling apart every 2 years (Cheap/bad zipper). Black and decker fixed that issue on this unit. The only thing that could be changed would be a bigger colle tion bag, but that would make it cost more. I took the open end and attached it to rung that hold the 50 gal contractors bags and when it fills I just slid on another bag. Mulches great, for a $80. Dollar electric machine, does everything I need it to do. GREAT PRODUCT.

Requería una trituradora de hojas y una sopladora para poder limpiar varios metros cuadrados con 5 árboles de más de 7 metros de altura ( una pesadilla de hojas) . Pros: En cuanto a trituradora para hojas normales funciona excelente, tiene buen poder de succión. La idea de la mochila, ergonómicamente es genial, te permite cargar sin problemas las hojas sin importar el peso Aunque las aspas son plásticas no ví daño después de succionar y hacer picadillo hojas y ramas secas para llenar una bolsa de 50 kilos. La opción de sopladora funciona excelente para juntar rápidamente las hojas en un solo sitio, fué una bendición el usarla. Contras: Si requieres triturar ramas grandes no es la mejor opción; a pesar de que si puede triturar ramas de menos de 1 cm de grosor sin problemas , no es fácil aspirar ramas, otro punto malo es que le cuesta succionar las hojas de más de 17 cm ,aunque ya que las absorbe las tritura cómo mantequilla. Fuera de esas limitantes el equipo funciona muy bien . ***Es necesaria usar cubrebocas y tapones de oídos al usarlo ya que es un equipo que produce muchísimo ruido y algo de polvo. Nota: Tiene sensores de seguridad en los conectores, si algo esta mal conectado no va a funcionar el equipo. Yo no podía encenderlo la primera ocasión que lo armé, hasta pensé enviarlo a garantía recién lo saqué de la caja. Después volví a desconectar todo y conectarlo y funcionó perfectamente, quedé 🤡 con mi esposa por lo quisquilloso. En general puedo decir que funciona y funciona muy bien , excelente producto y calidad

A mi no me sirvió tanto ya que no absorbió bien las hojas del pino que se quedan embarradas en el pasto y hay que comprar una larga extensión para usarla además las instrucciones para soplar y aspirar no son claras pero creo en jardines más pequeños puede funcionar y hojas más grandes si las aspira bien en lo personal no me sirvió mucho pero es buena

Lo que me impresionó es la fuerza con la que aspira las hojas y basuras, buena calidad en los materiales. Lo malo es que el sistema par cambiar de modo soplador a aspiradora está un poco complicado al principio, ocupas introducir un desarmador para presionar el botón para destrabar el adaptador, creo que se puede mejorar ese diseño, igual la vibración del motor hace que la primera vez te duelan los brazos como si hubieras hecho ejercicio

Muy práctico y potente

No aspira fácilmente hojas grandes, tienes que acercarte demasiado, es muy pesada, ensamblar y desensamblar los tubos y componentes es difícil, necesitas un adaptador para poder llegar a la profundidad de su clavija, en general un producto con varios problemas de funcionamiento y diseño.
