DEEP HYDRATION Nourishing Cleansing Balm

I’m almost 50. This cleansing balm is my nightly go-to. It melts into the skin like butter and removes all traces of makeup. A little goes a long way. It has a light and clean fragrance. Some cleansers leave skin feeling parched. This one doesn’t.

I have recently discovered double washing (oil based cleanser then water based cleanser). This product is like putting petroleum jelly on your face. It’s thick and does not rinse off. It does not burn your eyes, you can rub it in to get your face and eye makeup off. I wash with a water based cleanser right after and it’s all good!

I’m fairly new to double cleansing at night and I’m a big fan. I started with a generous size sample of Elemis cleansing balm. It was so nice that I set out to find a “dupe,” if you will because I’m not on an Elemis budget. I was between 3-4 star on this product, let’s break it down: First on all, I went for 4 stars because I like Andalou products and have been using this for years. This balm gets the job done but it’s kinda chunky and the warmth of your hands helps soften the product but it still doesn’t get completely smooth like the other brand I also purchased in my quest of finding a suitable dupe for said product above. It also doesn’t rinse/wipe off as easily the other product(s) I’m “testing.” It’s decent, I’ll use it until it’s gone, but I don’t think I’ll repurchase. But I do love the Andalou brand and will continue to use their other products.

I really looked forward to this product considering it had hyaluronic acid. Smells wonderful when you open it! But it's a Vaseline texture.. greasy. To remove you needed to wipe it off. I thought it was a silky texture that becomes milky when you add water.. and THIS WASN'T! Not for me.

I really love this product! I love that it uses minimal ingredients and is a super buttery makeup remover. I put it on before I use my makeup wipes and then wash my face. It helps melt makeup away gently and smells really good. It also lasts for w while because you don't need too much!

I love the way this product removes make up and leaves my face feeling soft and clean.

I love some other cleansing balms that I've tried, and I've liked some other Andalou products. So I thought the Andalou cleansing balm would be good, but I'm disappointed. I find it too think, greasy, and difficult to wash off.
