They are beautiful towels and I was excited to get them for the purpose of machine embroidery. As always, I pre-wash all cotton towels prior to embroidery in case there is shrinkage. Get this - these shrank to a wrinkled 9.5" x 19" mess when I followed the laundry instructions on the tag! There is no way I can use them. i'm posting a picture of one of the gray/white prior to washing next to a white one that just came out of the laundry after following the manufacturer's instructions. They are going back as fast as I can get them to the post office. Now, I understand that it is completely my fault for not reading the care instructions, but who would have thought that a 100% cotton kitchen dish towel would need dry cleaned, or washed in cold water/no heat?! After one wash, these towels shrunk completely in half, and the fabric texture is β€œshrunken”. I ordered the variety color pack.....I washed the grey towels before using.
