We love this tea! For the flavor, for the company's ideals of keeping the packaging close to the tea plantations, for their treatment of the workers. As well as for the clever way of vacuum-packing the loose tea in a block inside a box. In fact, we have a subscription order with Amazon. Here is where my caveat comes in. Recently, Amazon's packing together of multiple items (an admirable ideal!) has become less than well-thought out. A heavy item (ex: liquid detergent) loose in a box with small items and a box of Vahdam's tea with only a strip of paper, but no where enough, to stand up to shipment. Twice the Vahdam box arrived broken (fortunately the tea package was okay); one shipment got only part-way to us before being sent back by the shipper - twice - because of breakage.

This is the second time I ordered this black tea. Loved the aroma and flavor of this 1st flush. A morning cup of this tea is so refreshing. Highly recommended to all Darjeeling black tea lovers.

first of all this tea is not Darjeeling. Second of all the leaves are not first flush, nor are they any sort of quality as you might expect for the price and the marketing on this product. Third, there's some sort of white powder that comes out every time you take a little bit of tea out. fourth is that the tea leaves crumble like dust there is absolutely no quality to anything here All in all, this is absolute trash and I can't get a refund. I have to actually return this bag of trash tea that I opened to get funds back. this is absolute trash. I would never buy it again or anything from this brand.

I have ordered many times and the taste, quality and presentation always hits the mark. Well made product. I love the packaging so much. Darjeeling is my go to and has excellent flavor and body.

We've been drinking various flavored black tea in our entire life. All I wanted to try a different brand. First taste is Ok. Unfortunately There is a weight problem in description. Title says 12 oz but picture and item information says 1 lb. I thought I'm getting 1 lb for $40 and returns are not accepted. Very disappointed. I could get 1lb organic first flush with same taste with a better value. Everyone has different taste experience so I leave the flavor review out. My point is It's NOT worth the value.

I have purchased this 16oz pack multiple times over the past two years and it is an excellent tea, even though 'first flush' does not actually appear on the packet. Nevertheless, it's a fine tea. What I cannot comprehend is the sudden increase in price from $49.99 to $99.99! It's for the same quantity and presumably for the same tea. I will look for quality darjeeling tea elsewhere from now on.

I’ve been drinking oolong tea and other high quality tea for many years so I can tell you that this very good tea in my opinion.i steep it at 195 degrees for about a minute and 15 seconds or so but at a high concentration which gives the liquid a rich mouthfeel when drinking.you can go for a second steep with a little higher temperature for about 20 to 30 seconds.

First flush is expensive, but it is delicious. Even with nothing added, this tea has subtle flavors, a pure taste with a light finish, no aftertaste and wonderful aroma.
