After a year of use the band provided to me by the therapist broke, so naturally I shopped on desertcart for a suitable replacement. Interestingly, it's hard to buy just a single band, or even a 5-pack of bands with the same resistance -- not that I knew the exact resistance of the old band anyway. So, it seemed okay to try out the 5-level "variety" pack offered by londys. My exercise required tying a loop on one end so I can pull with both hands on the other end. The red (heavy) band was thicker than my old one, so it was a little tricky to tie this loop, but I succeeded, and the modified band turned out to be just (barely) the right length. It works like a charm. I've only been using it a couple of months, so I can't vouch for the life expectancy claims, but the band is very strong and shows no signs of breaking. If it ever does break, I can just substitute the extra heavy or medium bands; the other two bands probably would work also if I just pull a longer distance. Of course, I also have the flexibility to change resistance levels at any time to make a stronger or weaker workout. The bands are individually wrapped, then further put inside a closable black case.
