Works as advertised
This product worked great to hardening my blanket for my forge ... one thing I would say is make sure you don't do half and half it will take forever for it to dry I placed my forge in the oven at 280 for about 2 hrs helped alot . I would do 3 parts solution to 1 part water it will go faster but it makes it harder to come out the spray bottle .

Great use on Propane Forge
I used this for 2 burner Vevor Propane forge. Worked great on hardening the fibers so I could coat with refactory.

Works pretty good!
Used this on my first forge to rigidize the insulation. It did a good job! Used it as directed - 1:1 with water. Tip: add a drop or two of dye(food coloring) to the mixed solution. Then you can tell if you've totally coated everything.

The ridgidizer worked great for my forging and smelting furnaces. It requires 24hrs for it to dry and it actually works as described.

It helps
Used to fabricate a combustion chamber for my old dry based furnace. Mocked up a chamber out of wood, overlapped two layers of ceramic blanket and used this product to stiffen it all up. The bottle only does a 24 by 24 by 1 inch section so you need a lot to treat a big project like mine properly. For my purpose just stiffening it up a little bit to facilitate the transfer to the furnace worked out perfect. I took a star off since you need so much but it does do what it says just fine.

Easy to mix. I’d certainly recommend using a hand spray bottle to apply it rather than a brush. It seems to rigidise my thermal kiln blanket well and is economical.

I think, it's a bit expensive, but it clearly does what is promised.
