Good Replacement For Other Headset Designs
Pros: - Good build quality (Been using this for over 1.5 years) - Breathable mesh earcups (Prefer these over fake leatherette that always peels) - Fairly seemless dual connection (Phone via Bluetooth + PC via dongle) - Lighter in weight and not as painful to wear compared to HyperXs or Logitech Pros Cons: - Not quite as good sound quality as the Logitech Pro X I had before - Not quite as good mic quality as the Logitech Pro Xs either but more than usable - Steelseries software is too fiddly to be use comfortably (Constant switching of modes etc) - Sometimes will have issues if trying to connect to a PC/Mac via bluetooth without resetting/disconnecting a few times So I've had this headset for over a year now and can confidently say that coming from the style of headphones like the HyperX Cloud line or the Logitech Pro series that for me this build of headset is far superior. Both of the other brands I've had one or more parts of the headset break from mechanical stress, guessing it's the combination of metal on plastic parts that makes them break eventually. My other favourite thing about the Artis Nova 7s is that there's NO fraying from fake leather headbands or earcups you get with most other 'gaming headsets' as the headband is made from a cloth material and the earcups are a mesh design. I've had multiple gaming headsets where this is the issue and it drives me insane and means I'll always eventually need to buy new earcups/headbands if the headset itself doesn't break first. I'm also quite rough with my hardware usually and I've fallen asleep multiple times over the past year (long distance relationship) and it's stood the test of time even with me rolling onto my side and pressing on them in my sleep and even dropping them onto the floor a few times. My previous headsets couldn't handle that kind of treatment and would always break eventually, plus the fact that you can somewhat fold the ears cups mean that I've taken them with me in my backpack before to work/uni. This being my first wireless headset I don't think I could go back, the fact that I can both be on a Discord call on my PC and also browse my phone or talk to my partner on my phone at the same time is a big quality of life thing for me. My partner's mentioned to me that my Logitech Pro Xs had slightly better mic quality but wasn't that noticeable, I don't use the Steelseries software anymore after not getting along with it but it may have improved since. And as for the sound quality it was also a bit of a downgrade compared to the Logitech's but after over a year of using them I'm confident in saying that they're more than usable as someone that listens to a wide variety of music and whilst not being on the audiophile level of things these headphones sound more than decent compared to past headsets. You may be able to get 'better' sound if you use the softwares EQ settings too. If you're looking for your first wireless gaming headset and for whatever reason need dual connection then I can definitely recommend this. I did consider the wireless Nova Pros but heard they had more teething issues with sound quality and the build quality seemed a bit more questionable at the time I compared the two. I couldn't for the difference in price justify the Nova Pros either and if this pair breaks then I'd happily buy another Nova 7.

Happiest middle ground of all the headphones I tried
I was seeking the perfect headphones to replace my old (very old! Steelseries). I have included other headphones I tried at the bottom I wanted comfort, wireless, good quality and good mic. To summarise, these are quite comfortable, good quality audio, good mic and are EXTREMELY decent wirelessly. No noise or disconnects for me! The dongle itself is very nice. The band to support the ears works well. I love having a mic you can retract. The game / chat wheel is great. I can turn down chat while keeping the game the same! I first tried the Arctis Nova Pro, very expensive. They are worth the price, however for me the active noise cancelling speaker dug into my ear. Very painful. They're probably fine if you have money to burn and normal sized head. Then I tried the Logitech pro X 2. These were basically fine. Removable mic, good quality. Only problem was the speaker sits quite close to the ear, which again is uncomfortable. Then the Razer Blackshark v2 pro. Very good mic, comfortable though I didn't like the foam. Very bad connection for a headset of that price. These headphones beat all of these apart from possibly in the audio quality of the logitech ones and obviously no active noise cancelling. I'd recommend these to anyone.

Overpriced and under-designed
The only good thing about the Arctis Nova 7 is the box it came in. For a quick review of why it's bad: The software it comes with is terrible, no matter how many ways or times you disable the built-in microphone, it will always prioritise this over any of your desk mic's. Whether you default the other, turn off the software or drivers, Steel Series sonar will overwrite this and make it default, every single time. So if you like disabling it in sound settings every time you need your microphone, this is the pick up for you. The quality is fine, honestly no different to other headset which have cost me half the price in the past, such as the Corsair HS60. I will also add that on default settings it's exceptionally quiet and you will have to use the above, awful software to try and find the correct balance and set every sound booster up. The connectivity is also bad, I find that every time I go near to the range it pops, and bangs in your ears on max volume. Then also half the time if you go out of range, it disconnects and you need to restart your computer, reload the software, get the dongle out of the box and reconnect it. If I was to buy a headset like this again, I would value it at ยฃ20-ยฃ30 worth of headset. Makes sound and suitable if you don't have any other devices like a microphone. I would strongly advise to avoid this headset at all costs or regret it otherwise.

Thoughts And First Impressions On The Arctis Nova 7's And Something I Have Discovered
After realizing that using Skullcandy Hesh Evo headphones as a PS4 headset was not the wisest decision, I finally decided to treat myself to the Arctis Nova 7's. I will say I went into buying these completely blind, without checking reviews or doing any research beforehand. The first thing that caught my attention was the packaging and presentation. It was simple, straightforward, and easy to open without any risk of damage. As I unboxed the headset, the USB-C dongle immediately caught my eye. I admit, I panicked for a moment because I intended to use these headphones for my PS4. However, I was relieved to find that it included a USB-C to USB adapter, a lengthy 3.5mm cable, and a more than sufficient USB-C charging cable as well. when I picked up and wore the headset for the first time I noticed how lightweight it is and also how much thought went into weight distribution, from the material of the ear-cups and the headband down to the other materials, it's so impressively made that I've easily done all day gaming sessions and had not even come close to feeling some form of discomfort or irritation throughout. (This goes out to my fellow comrades that also have to wear when gaming) yes they're extremely comfortable when wearing glasses, although the only slight negative being that if wearing your glasses how you normally would the very back of the temples (the part that sits on top of your ears) after some amounts of time start to slightly dig into your head, I've found that bringing your glasses slightly forward fixes this entirely. The nicest feature these are capable of, and something I have used nonstop is the ability for simultaneous connection between both the included dongle and a Bluetooth device, I knew that it had Bluetooth connectivity beforehand but using this for the first time just makes the price that slightly more justifiable, the battery life is unbelievable, I've had gaming sessions as long as 10 hours and the lowest I see the battery life go to is no less than 30% (this is just using a wireless connection, battery life will differ if using Bluetooth simultaneously) overall they're the most feature rich and comfortable headphones that I have owned to date, Overall Rating? A very solid 9.4/10

Great for compatibility. 1 Headset for everything, good quality too!
I upgraded from the Arctis 1 which I was already very satisfied with. It does everything you need, compatible with everything from consoles to computers to mobile. It sounds good, not that Iโm an audiophile but it seems great, and there is a whole EQ and settings application. The only thing I can mark down is the connection noises, they are a lot more unpleasant than the arctis 1โs noises. I know they are meant to be audible, and this is only a small complaint. Donโt let that sway your decision. Itโs very very comfortable to Wear, although I find itโs a little heavier than I expected, fits perfectly as itโs adjustable and so is the band on top. The microphone quality is a little lacklustre for the price in my opinion. The charging speed and capacity is great too.

Amazing Upgrade 9/10
Got this because my Old Arctis 7 headset finally broke. I decided the best option was to go for the Nova 7, because the Pro was double the cost. Overall, this headset performs great. I can tell the audio quality has improved slightly, as well as the Bluetooth being a huge plus, as I can play Music from my phone, and talk with my friend over discord on my PC. You can also just take the headset anywhere, on planes etc, unlike the arctis 7's. There are some downsides to this headset. The main for me is the design. I feel this headset is not as minimalist and stylish as the Arctis 7's, it feels a little bulkier, however it's still very lightweight and the standard headset cushions are very good for breathability. I would actually recommend these over the Nova Pros because I have read many people sweat inside the tight leather seal of those. The use of USBC is also great, I love that they have simplified the charging and now we no longer need a micro-usb cable to charge the headset. The headset band has some adjustability if you have a large head, and there is a degree of customization if you like that. Overall a solid product, and definitely feels like an upgrade from the Arctis 7's. I was a little disappointed these were not available in white as my setup is white, but you can probably buy some kits to customize that. If you have the money, go for the Nova Pro, but for most, the Nova 7 is a completely adequate and justifiable upgrade. 9/10.

Brilliant headset!
I bought the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 headphones during Prime Day at a great price. After being recommended SteelSeries, I decided to give them a try, and I have not been disappointed. The setup was a breeze. The little dongle with a USB-C end plugged into my computer, and the headphones connected effortlessly via their program, which allowed me to customize the sound, mic, and other settings. I've also connected these headphones to another device via Bluetooth without any issuesโthey always connect seamlessly. The headphones come with a USB to USB-C charger, and I find the battery life impressive, lasting a whole week depending on usage before needing a recharge. One minor issue is that they fit slightly loosely on me since I have a smaller head, so I sometimes worry about them falling off if I move too much. However, this isn't a deal-breaker for me. I love that the mic retracts and hides away within the headphones when not in use, and it's easily adjustable. The noise-canceling feature works great, and the mic effectively blocks out background noise during meetings or gaming sessions. Overall, I highly recommend the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7. If you're looking for a new headset, you won't be disappointed with this set.

Looks good, feels good, but still not sure it is good.....
2 weeks in the jury is still out on this headset, got it to replace my failed work Logitech and failing home Sennheiser both of which were also wired. Initial opinions, obviously subjective but the fit and comfort are nice, sound quality also seems good although I listen to music through Sony headphones so only comment on game sounds/Teams calls. The microphone though seems pants, out of the box default setting is ridiculously low, playing with EQ got an 'adequate' level but I've not had enough voice calls for a full test. The pull out boom is awful (although I suspected I would hate this) , received a call with headset on, slipped my thumb on to slide it out and no joy, had to take the set off to pull it out, not good mid call. Also the boom now lives out as sliding it back in is also a pain, maybe it just needs to loosen up but again something I can't easily do while wearing. And now the worst part, the Sonar software. I can see what they are doing but god it's awful, so overly complex for what it does and doesn't do it well. As stated by someone else post install 6 different options in the sound tray, I set the software up, got it working then swapped back to external speakers. First meeting I could couldn't get it to work on any setting, or my old headphones as it was now routing external audio, ended up I had to uninstall Sonar and reboot. I will allot some of that to me not looking at options properly so attempt number 2 I setup playback options on all mixers, I could now use the headset. I then setup game detection, great that works, unless I want to play it through external speakers, tried dragging it between mixers in Sonar but it just bounced back, only way was to change the playback option. Turned off game detection but it still wants that mixer.... So I turn off the headset for the night, come back and find Sonar has reset the mixer playbacks on all settings, most reverting to my default Realtek audio, one to a digital output port that I have never used..... The upshot is I want to like it, but a a dual purpose work/gaming tool I may have to return it, not being able to swap easily between speakers and headset for a call and what appears to be a borderline mic may just kill it.

Works well, very comfortable headband.
Pretty happy with these. Decent battery life, good sound. I especially like the headband its way more comfortable than typical headbands especially with wireless headphones that have some weight to them.

Very unstable product. More cons than pros
they are so finicky to connect and keep connected, they have really sub par sound quality, and, i had to return mine because any time i left them on charge over night, they would become completely unresponsive the next day. They wouldn't turn off, none of the buttons would work, and I would have to hit the reset button under one of the ear cups. On the bright side, Amazon support was amazing. Really appreciate how they dealt with it.

Best pair of headset I have owned.
Finally, I found the headset that I always wanted. The build and fit is perfect (for me), good battery time, quick charge (and you can charge and use it at the same time which was a must for me). Really good customization with the SteelSeries Sonar software (on PC). Works great paired with the phone as well, works seamless. You can listen to spotify via your phone while at the same time watching youtube on your computer (maybe bad example, just mean that it works seamlessly). Highly recommended!

i love them. they work just like they should, they allow me to play on my ps5 while being on a zoom meeting. only thing is, the app isn't available on MacOS, so u cant really use the right knob unless you have a windows based device. hoping for an app for mac soon! OH AND THE EARPADS SUCK! BUY THE ONES FROM WICKED CUSHIONS!

It just works, and works well.
I used to use Corsair Virtuoso XT. The good thing about those headphones is that they pair with two BT devices and the wireless/radio (PC). But, only one BT can "talk" at given time. However, after 8-9 months of usage, I've had some serious battery trouble with the Corsair. The support told me just to return them, so after some tests (I liked them, did not want to return, but I could not get them to work properly) - I did. This is when my gamer friends recommended the Arctis 7 headset. Since I use it for working too, I had to get the Arctis Nova 7 one (there are multiple 7 models, the difference is compatibility apparently, pc/xbox/ps - so make sure to check before you buy! I'm on just plain arctis nova 7, which works with PCs and BT just fine). The battery life on this baby is vastly superior to Corsairs (think ~7 hours vs around 1.5-2 days on Arctis), the delay should be the same (check before you buy!), the features include everything I need. Arctis Nova 7 pairs easily with my phone, works out of the box with my PC, you don't need the Sonar software thing either. Even EQ works without it. The only thing I wish this headset had was more than just 4 choices for the "microphone echo". the lowest one above 0 is a bit too loud for my liking. But other than that, I really, really like that headset. So far absolutely 0 problems with that. It is also pretty light and the headband is adjustable, which was not the case with Corsair. Oh, I wish it could display the charge in resolution higher than 1/4 (i.e. empty, 25%, 50%, 75%, full), but the Corsair ones were the same. I am very happy with that headset, I loved Corsair Virtuoso XTs, but if you do not need to pair with two BT devices, this one is just cheaper and better.
