Pascall Pineapple Lumps 185g

Quite an interesting flavor. It reminds me of something I've had when i was younger but I can't think what.... Perhaps if I eat some more it will help shake my memory.... *digs into bag* Uh, there aren't any more! Guess I'll have to buy another bag. (I'm a military brat, by the way, but I've never been further east than Switzerland, so either there are similar candies in other countries or another military member brought some of these over from Australia at some point. Any theories?) My mom doesn't like them... more for me! Joking aside, these DO have a very interesting flavor. I don't normally go for the citrus-infused-chocolate things (I quite like chocolate-covered strawberries but won't touch a chocolate orange, for instance, never mind that I love chocolate and I love oranges) but this has JUST a hint of fruit... not enough to identify it as pineapple, methinks, but enough to subtly alter the flavor of the chocolate itself and give it an unexpected bit of juiciness. And it is that unexpected juiciness that sets these candies apart from other chocolates and makes them the wonderful treat they are. They were quite chewy when they arrived--not sure if that's normal or a result of shipping conditions, but I liked it no matter the reason it happened. Which of course means I have GOT to stop taking them with me to work... they get rather hard and crunchy when I've left them in my cooler for the hours I have to wait for my lunch break, and while they're still not bad that way, they're not as good as in the "chewy" stage.

We were recently in New Zealand staying at a house rental where the host left a bag of these. I stared at them for a few days thinking pineapple and chocolate just sounds crazy. Day 3 I opened the bag and WOW! Strange at first, but then aha! Really good treat and nice reminder of our travels.

My sister brought a few bags of this candy back from New Zealand. It's unsual, a few pieces satisfy a sweet tooth, it's chewy, and addictive. I previously ordered some for her as a holiday treat and the quality was as I expected. I just ordered some for myself. Ufortunately, despite having a few months to go on the "sell by" date, the majority of the candies in my bag were crunchy, like spun glass rather than chewy. Bottom line: you can't be sure of the quality of the product you will receive.

I disliked that the candy was stale upon arrival. Again I do understand it came from New Zealand and the travel time takes a toll on perishable items. I thought that the candy was alright. The pineapple taste was badly there and the chocolate was tasty. This was bout on a whim and not one of my favorite tries.

At first I wasn't sure if I loved them, but then I couldn't stop eating them! They're very chewy and get stuck in your teeth. Nice pineapple flavor that isn't overwhelming. The little chocolate coating melts pretty quickly and leaves you with the fruit chew.

My family loves these hard to find candies (from Australia I believe), so I paid the premium price and they arrived in bad shape. They have been appeared to have melted at one point. The chocolate was not wrapped around the candy center. The chocolate was chalky, not how usually is. The candies were crushed to some extent. Great candy, but not how it was delivered to me.

I'm not a huge snacker especially when it comes to sweet stuff (I prefer salty snacks) but these are the most addicting things ever. We got these in a snack crate one time from around the world and they were my favorite thing from the whole box. I've thought about these for so long and decided to finally buy them. We had freezing temps today so when I first opened them up they were hard and crunchy. Now that I've let them sit for an hour or so they are perfect. Will be ordering again

A few years ago, I tried Pineapple Lumps for the first time after receiving them from a friend living in New Zealand. These taste the exact same and were the same quality.

I was a bit uncertain when i read the other reviews...about product condition. BUT the three bags of Pineapple Lumps were super. All fresh and in normal expected condition. Nothing melted nothing clumpy. Just great yummy cant stop eating them Pineapple Clumps like i know them in New Zealand.

I've been lying for this for a while now as I was there in 2016 and loved this candy. The candy was fresh and shipped promptly from across the world and received weeks before expected.

Good value for money

Its a great & unusual taste. I first bought one of these on holiday in NZ. The taste lasted with me forever. And for good reasons not bad! The chocolate is a little dark for my absolute taste - but NZ have made a winner here. I ordered this specifically to watch the 25 year anniversary screening of the extended Lord of the Rings Return of the King film with my stepson & his wife. She loved them so much she ordered two more packets!

Haven't had those in a while and cannot get them anywhere in Europe. Happy to have tasted them again.
