Michael Jackson's Ghosts

Unless I'm mistaken, this is supposed to be one of the longest music videos on record (about 40min), and it is from beginning to end such a great video! This played well on two DVD players that I played it on, but did not work on my MAC laptop. I was kind of bummed about it not playing on my laptop initially, but I'm glad it worked on my DVD player. Like it has been stated, the quality is not going to be up to par with a DVD when it comes to clarity and sound, but it's not entirely at all bad either - it's pretty decent, and I believe that unless you prefer to go on youtube to watch clips of this, this VCD is the only way to purchase the actual full length movie/music video, since it never did originally come out on DVD in the first place. What I love most about Ghosts is, of course, MJ singing and dancing - I just took a dance class for the first time and I now have a much greater appreciation for dancing and dancers in general and give props to those who are able to dance so well, like Michael Jackson and the rest of his dancers on Ghosts. I have learned that mastering the steps, moves and sequences in a dance routine is not as easy as you think it is (unless you are a naturally gifted dancer or have prior dance experience) and must say that the choreography that's seen on Ghosts is just awesome!!! I swear, only Michael could have come up with something like that, it just blows you away! Nobody but Michael Jackson could deliver it the way he did! And I agree, he should have won an award or something for playing the part of the mayor - if you've never seen this before or never heard about it, you would probably never guess it until the very end;-) This is definitely a must to be in the collection of any MJ fan out there, it is totally worth buying!

I thought "Ghosts" was fantastic; this was MJ at his best. The sound & picture quality was excellent and the VCD played brilliantly on both my computer & DVD player, so I could easily watch it on a big screen TV. The songs, dancing & special effects were brilliant. I recommend this version of "Ghosts" to any Michael Jackson fans; I'm sure you'll love it, as I know I certainly did. In summary I found "Ghosts" to be thoroughly enjoyable with a laugh here and there as well. MJ acted out about 5 different characters during the film, (Maestro, Skeleton Maestro, Ghoul Maestro, Mayor, Ghoul Mayor), and during the credits at the end of the film you get to see him going through the make-up process for each character which was a real eye-opener as to all the behind the scenes work involved in this short film. For anyone concerned about young children viewing MJ's "Ghosts" there is mild horror involved in the form of Ghouls with Dracula type teeth in some scenes, which may scare some young children. And for anyone who interested to know I bought my copy as new from the seller titled - wegotthebeatsdotbiz. I found this seller to be good on price, quality, & service. HAPPY VIEWING! R.I.P. Although it was supposed to be video, it was a DVD copy of the vcd version and quality is not as sharp....BUT this is something every MJ fan should have, and any borderline fan too. Actor, singer, dancer, writer, producer...what a tremendous loss to humanity. This man did it all and did it well. What a shame this didn't get publicized during all the tributes of late of this magnificent artist. It is a masterpiece and shows Michael's diverse talents that most have never seen before. He performs 3 songs through the film like you've never heard them before. If you want to feel good, watch this. It also has the making of the film which is a treat. What a gem both Michael and this work of art are. What a remarkable human being. God Speed to ISS....SueK

I'm disappointed on the upcoming "Vision" collection they didn't include the full version of this. It's another great short film by MJ. The VCD didn't play on my newer LG DVD player but it played on both my older ones so watch out for that. Otherwise, it's a cool little mini movie with precision choreography, cool effects, and of course MJ. Just remember this made roughly 14 years or so ago. Again proving MJ was always ahead of the pack as it looks better than some effects you see today in movies. Check it out if you get a chance to see it. My wife has ended up watching it more than me I think!

I got a copy of "Ghosts" from this company also, and it is terrific. I wasn't sure what a video cd was actually, but ordered it anyway. Called this company the next day, they explained it to me, and I had no problem playing it on dvd player. I would definitely give this company a thumbs-up. I have wanted this video for years, and as some other people stated, they just don't show it on tv, for some reason. Michael is the most talented man I will see in my lifetime, and I thank him for the pleasure he has given me. If you have not seen this video before, treat yourself!!! On the same par as "Thriller" for sure.

I bought what I thought was a new copy of Michael Jackson's "Ghosts" When I received it July 16, 2009 I was so excited. Excited that is until I found out that it will only play in my computer. We tried it in our dvd player, xbox360, and playstation 3. All we got was "No Disc". I know I will never get my money back, I'll just take this as a loss. I buy alot of things from Amazon and I am disappointed and seriously hurt by this matter.

I've been wanting this for so long and finally found it on Amazon. I tried getting it from itunes but it's the edit version music video not the full short film. So I was happy to find it here. The only thing is that the dvd plays on ALMOST all DVD Players, not on ALL... So I had to see it on my computer (wich for sure it will play.) At home we have several DVD players and in some I was able to see it. Needless to say MJ did a great job with this short film...

I was extremely impressed with this short film by MJ .He is so adorable in this video.Truly displayed his multi facet talent in acting ,singing and dancing.This is a Must have for all MJ fans. MJ achieved his goal in that the film was scary,yet funny and entertaining and at the same time Sad ( for it depicts his real live as people think he is a freak) Certain parts of this VCD was a little unclear -not as sharp as a DVD .Its still worth the AUD$40 that I paid for it.Highly recommended from this vendor It only took abt 10 days from time of order to getting it in my hands.Disc was produced by Sony Asia. I was disappointed that there was no inclusion of the making of ghost in this VCD. I noticed in You Tube there were some postings for the making of the video which was really an eye opener,as it showed what a Genius MJ was in creating and perfecting this short film. MJ would have been a great producer and director of short films if he had lived.We have lost a wonderful man and an incredibly talented human being

Mit 40 min Länge schon ein Kurzfilm. Warum sind die Songs nie auf Musik DVD's erschienen.Die Ideen von Michael und die filmische Umsetzung stellen Thriller in den Schatten. Geister,die aus dem Nichts erscheinen und an der Decke wandern herrlich.Erwachsene,die sich fürchten und Kinder,die einfach nur fasziniert sind von dem Unglaublichen.Michaels Tanz und Musikszenen sind sensationell und einmalig. Wenn man ein bisschen tiefer schaut,merkt man wie viel Hintergründiges er in diesem Film verarbeitet. Die Vorurteile der Erwachsenen ihm gegenüber,er sei ein Freak, nur weil er nicht in die Norm passt,seine Ablehnung gegen Gewalt,die Selbstironie, mit der seine Fassade zerbröckelt und die Kinder,die ihn ob seiner Eigenheiten einfach nur lieben. Diesen Film kann man gar nicht oft genug sehen und wird immer wieder etwas Neues entdecken.Für mich persönlich war und ist Michael ein Genie und gleichzeitig ein liebenswerter, einfühlsamer Mensch,dessen Gefühle und Probleme in seiner Musik zu lesen sind,wenn man es will. Er hatte noch so viel vor.Er fehlt.

Michael Jackson was a fantastic person and musician and this short film is very weird but it is very enjoyable and a testament to how great Michael's music videos were

The film is GREAT i would say one of his best ever and one of his lastest videos, very hard to get hold of. I wish you could get it on DVD it would last longer and be better quality. It just shows how clever Michael Jackson is playing 4 people in the film the make up was brillant,good for people to watch if the are training to do special effects or model making in the film industry re Stan Winston (as my son is). Great film from a Great man.
