Worth the money. Happy that I found a mortar that accommodates a larger portion of ingredients. It is quite heavy and big, and it looks good on the counter. If you follow the instructions exactly on how to clean and season the mortar, you're good to go and won't have a problem with residue on the food. Just be patient and follow the instructions. I have a granite counter and was concerned about mashing on the counter, but this mortar is so thick and solid that it wasn't a problem (no need to bang the pestle so forcefully). It came with 2 non-slip pads, although due to the weight of the mortar, I don't think it will slide that easily. It is deep enough to keep the food in. This makes a good gift if you know someone who likes to cook with fresh herbs or other stuff. I plan mashing some plantains and form them into bowls the size of the inside of the mortar and put meat in the center, then air-fry them, and I must try for the first time, making guacamole. I already used it to crush garlic, cilantro, oregano, small sweet peppers and other ingredients to season my food. Buy this product, you won't regret it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ WOW *by on Reviewed in the United States April 16, 2026* I was in a Orson Gygi yesterday and came upon a molcajete that was fairly small and very rough, and it was $24. I decided that before I bought it I was going to look on Amazon and see if I could find one for cheaper. I came across this one, and it was 1.5 cups, and I was like "more space for cheaper, absolutely yes." so I bought this one.It says unpolished granite, so I was expecting it to be rough. It is granite, so it's very heavy, but let me tell you that I am STUNNED by the beauty of this piece. It's polished black on the outside (except the flat part of the bottom), and the top, except for the bowl. This looks like it belongs in an art museum, and I'm so happy with it. The pestle is also polished and beautiful except for the part that does the grinding. Seems very sturdy and stable. It came with care instructions, including how to season it, and they threw in a free gift of a garlic peeler.I don't think there's better quality out there, and for the price this is ridiculously good value. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy *by on Reviewed in the United States May 5, 2026* β€œI’m extremely satisfied with this mortar and pestle. It’s very heavy-duty and feels solid and durable, clearly made from quality granite. The weight keeps it stable during use, which makes grinding spices, herbs, and making things like salsa or guacamole much easier and more efficient. The bowl is large enough to handle good portions without spilling, and the pestle has a comfortable grip that makes grinding feel controlled and effective. It also looks great sitting on the counter and feels like a long-lasting kitchen tool. Overall, a very practical and well-made set that performs exactly as expected.” ## Frequently Bought Together - Priority Chef Heavy Duty Mortar and Pestle Set, 1.5 Cup, 100% Granite, Non Slip Base, Make Fresh Guacamole, Salsa, Pesto, Stone Grinder Bowl, Herb Crusher, Spice Grinder, 5.5 Inch - Black - ChefSofi Mortar and Pestle Set - 6 Inch - 2 Cup Capacity - Unpolished Heavy Granite for Enhanced Performance and Organic Appearance - Included: Anti-Scratch Protector - PriorityChef Large 15oz Potato Ricer, Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Potato Masher and Ricer Kitchen Tool, Press and Mash Kitchen Gadget For Perfect Mashed Potatoes - Everytime --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.it/products/462555307-priority-chef-heavy-duty-large-1-5-cup-mortar-pestle](https://www.desertcart.it/products/462555307-priority-chef-heavy-duty-large-1-5-cup-mortar-pestle) --- *Product available on Desertcart Italy* *Store origin: IT* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
