JeCar TJ Phone Holder Upgrade Dash Cellphone Mount with Storage Tray Interior Accessories Compatible with Jeep Wrangler TJ 1997-2006

Installed on my 97 Jeep TJ and went on easy. I removed the non charging phone mount and replaced it with a charging phone mount and fit perfectly.

Good value. Holds phone perfectly. Comes with self tapping screws. I replaced them with nuts and bolts and it’s much sturdier.

The tray I received had a metal arm for mounting the cell phone holder. The screw did loosen a bit from the vibration, but I was able to tighten it back up. It may need a drop of super glue to secure it permanently. I added a Bulletpoint mounting ball with a metal backing plate in the tray with 4 small screws (after drilling the holes) so I can attach a a Go Pro. A few notes: They want you to use self-tapping screws to mount this tray on the dash. The panels in my 2001 Wrangler are still in good shape, so I hated to screw into them. I removed the rubber pad in the depression on the dashboard when I mounted this, so I could always use screws if necessary, and then cover the holes with the pad if I remove this tray. There is double sided tape installed under the tray, but it didn't actually touch my dashboard. The tray fit fine, but the tape wasn't making ANY contact. I ended up cutting some 3M tape and putting it around the edges. So far it is holding fine. The ball and socket that attach the phone holder don't always keep my large phone secure. After a while on some rough roads, the phone starts drooping towards me. I was going to replace the phone holder with something from Bulletpoint that would be easier to tighten onto the ball, but the ball size is different. I may still look into rigging something else up, but it works for now. If you're expecting this to be perfect from the start, you might be disappointed. I'm an engineer, and I don't mind tweaking things in the Jeep anyway. For me, it works, and I might be able to make it better with a few small changes.

Easy to install and looks seamless for an aftermarket item! Holds phone sturdy with little to no vibration also not in the way. Highly recommend to and to owner as an upgrade!

This tray and phone holder is really functional and fit perfectly in my 1997 Wrangler. The double sided tape is worthless so just use the three included self tapping screws to mount the tray. No reason to give less than 5 stars for now. I'll update if necessary.

So far so good! Did not expect to drill into existing dash but the 3 self tapping screws and my impact driver made quick work of the install. Fourth screw included too. While it's not a huge capacity, the tray does comfortably fit my wallet and other items while driving and frees up other storage areas in an otherwise limited interior. Recommend.

Fits pretty good, easy install, solid phone mount even when off road. Only wish it had a rubber pad for the tray.
