Can these be used indoors?

It holds poison so if you use indoors the mouse may die indoors and then you have to find it. There are some poisons that make the animal dry up and not stink, but not sure if this does that or not

Are you able to tell if anything has been caught without opening the trap?

It’s a bait station. Not a trap.

Will these work for voles? Do they go into the box? Do they stay dry in rainy weather? Or do you bring them out of rain when necessary?

I used them for voles If they fit into the hole in the box they can get to the bait and they do not stay in the box. They stay dry in the rain. Place them where the voles are active but not in tall grass.
