How is Clipper tea and coffee decaffeinated?

Our teas and coffees are organically decaffeinated using the CO2 and spring water method — with NO chemicals or additives. The process uses a minimal amount of energy, ensuring it’s great for you and the world.

How do I make the perfect brew?

Always use fresh water. For tea, boil the water, pour it over the tea bag while still boiling, and allow the tea to infuse for 2-5 minutes. For coffee, boil the water and leave to cool a minute before pouring over the coffee.

Can you explain the staining of my tea cup?

Staining of the cup is due to tannin. Although it’s a bit annoying having to give your mug an extra scrub, this compound helps give tea its slightly astringent flavor. To avoid getting your mug stained, use a teapot to prepare your brew!

Where does your tea come from?

To serve the best tea and a range of varieties, we source tea from all over the world, including well-known origins, such as China, India, Sri Lanka, and Kenya, as well as Brazil, Turkey, Vietnam and other countries.

Why don’t all your blends have the Fairtrade mark?

We try very hard to source 100% Fairtrade ingredients, but it’s not always possible. However, we do work closely with our suppliers to strive to ensure all our ingredients are ethically sourced.
