Perfect thickness, good quality. Makes the rug feel nicer to walk on. Know that you absolutely must put some sort of non-slip pad underneath this if on hardwood or other slippery floor material.

3/8" is good cushion and proper size. Works great. Had a nice rug, zero backing, like standing on cement. This worked perfectly underneath. Soft and comfortable now

Great pad but slips all over the floor even with carpet tape.
