No. I had to take my phone out of the Cade. If you have an OtterBox symmetry case it should be fine but not a defender

Can this be used with a Mac laptop?

this uses a lightning connector like the ipad and iphone uses. There may be a usb-c version as well - but I do not have that one and cannot say for sure it would work. Works great with the iphone !

Can you use this mic with teleprompter app like BigVu?

No, I couldn’t even use it when recording a video with the camera app
