Don't know the actual thickness. They are very sturdy. Currently holding up very full book shelves with no problem.

What is the weight limit when you use 4 of these?

I’m sure the answer to that is very technical, length of shelf, where you put the weight etc. The manufacturer is the only one that could answer that. Are you really going to weigh what you put in your cabinet. Chances are if you are loading your cabinet & worried about that your trying to put too much into it.
