fit well, perform well, minimal dust on rims
These fit my 2006 subaru forester perfectly. No squealing/squeaking (I use caliper slide grease), good stopping power after brief break-in period. I have not noticed any appreciable amount of "brake dust" on the rims. I would buy these again.

okay brake pads for 2010 subaru
I purchased the brake pads on another ecommerce website around 2019. Today, the front pads have worn to be super thin. The pads lasted 4 years in Texas weather. Perhaps the heat from this summer wore the pads. Anyways, when I used the pads for the last two years, I observed significant brake dust on my wheel. I wear the OEM 2010 Subaru wheels. I don't believe the brake pads are good quality compared to OEM. My previous front brake pads were OEM pads. I purchased the Akebono brake pads because some Subaru forum members believed akebono is the OEM supplier. I discover they are not the OEM quality. If you need OEM quality, nothing beats the Subaru pads from the dealership. I obtained a significant discount purchasing brake pads from the third party online store. The akebono brake pads lasted for four years, so I cannot complain.

Best Brake Pads For The Money
Simply amazing. After much research, I came to the conclusion that these were the best brakes I could buy for the money. An easy install, but I was slightly disappointed by the fact that the set didn't include anti-rattle clips. Still, they definitely provide superior brake performance and so far don't produce very much brake dust. Just a great value for money.

Clean. Quiet. Does what it needs to.
By far I am a fan of Akebono's ceramic pads. I drive spiritedly but not the point where I need to slam on my brakes. I've had to use my brakes in urgent situations and the pads respond very appropriately. The pads never have me any surprises. I cannot vouch for how long they last because all driving styles are different. All I can say is that I've only had one set on my car since I replaced my OEMs at 30K and now I am at about 110K. I chose these pads because of how clean they are. I have never needed to clean my wheels from brake dust. Any debris on my wheels were more likely from the road. The pads are also quiet. But just make sure you use some kind of brake compound between the brake pad backing and it's mating surfaces on the caliper. For cars not being used for any autocrossing, these pads won't let you down. An additional note, I have had my experience with rotors causing a vibration/pulsation while braking from high speed but this has not much to do with your pads but more with your driving style. If you ever want to avoid having pulsating rotors just follow this simple strategy. Whenever you're in stop and go traffic, don't leave your pads locked in one spot on your rotors. Try to stop with some space behind the driver in front of you and just slowly creep closer. This will keep your pads from case hardening sections of your rotors that cause the braking pulsations.

Akebono ACT929
Purchased this for my 2009 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Special Edition and I am extremely satisfied. Brake pads are an exact OEM fit, quiet, and brake response is immediate without brake fad. Does not come with anti squeal compound, I highly recommend you purchase this and place on the inside and outside of the brake shim to prevent squeals from brake vibration. Brake dust is to a minimum and have no complaints. Does the job and does it well. Highly recommend this product.

Great pads.
Very good brake pads. Lasted 3+ years of driving. In second photo you can see wear after 3 years of driving. Probably had another 6 months, easily, in these pads. The initial bite is not as strong as OEM pads but they stop very well. No squealing. Front for 2010 Subaru Forester.

Do not buy this and stick with OEM
I would like to update my previous review. I thought that these Akebono aftermarket brake pads are a good fit for my 3rd Gen Subaru Outback. They are actually inferior to OEM product (also made by Akebono) due to following. (1) This product has one shim in the back whereas the OEM has two. (2) These single shims do not have a securing mechanism. As a result shims will move relative to brake pad over time when you apply braking. (3) The movement in (2) above will induce vibrations in front wheels gradually over the time (when you apply braking.). (4) These vibrations will gouge your rotors. Please keep in mind that I machined my rotors when I installed these pads. After less than 30K miles my rotors are gouged pretty badly. My OEM brake pads ran 88K miles with less gouging which is due to proper securing of inner shims and vibration damping due to outer shims. There is no way to fit these OEM shims as these brake pads are slightly larger than OEM pads. Please do think twice before purchasing these items and spend a bit extra and get OEM pads (which may still be supplied by Akebono)

No complaints so far
These pads come with a little packet of moly grease that is used to lubricate the contact points with the caliper and piston. So no need to order other grease or anti-squeak compound for that, and in fact the flyer that comes in the box says that using anything else will void the warranty. They drop right in to my 2007 Subaru Forester, and they seem fine. The brakes feel firm and predictable right out of the box, with no squeaks. The area of the pad is significantly smaller than the OEM units so will have to see if they hold up to mountain driving but otherwise they seem like a good pick. I will update and maybe give another star depending on how they hold up.
