This cork slipmat has been a great upgrade for my turntable setup. One thing I really appreciate is the anti static effect. It noticeably reduces dust buildup and the little pops that sometimes happen when static builds up on records. The cork material also gives the record a nice stable surface so it sits flat and spins smoothly. Cork mats are often used because they help reduce static and unwanted noise while improving contact between the vinyl and platter. Overall it feels well made, looks great on the turntable, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do

So I wasn't't sure about the things that I hear about Cork mats but I can tell the difference for sure when playing certain records. Some of the Bass does sound deeper or tighter, which I like since I listen to Rock and Metal. The Mat itself is pretty good and fits prefect on my AT-LP70X. It is thicker then my felt mat that came with the player but is not to thick where it effect the tone arm tracking. It looks great on the player and its the first thing people notice when they spot my player. One thing I didn't think about was with some of my translucent vinyl the pattern show through and sometimes looks cool and sometimes not.

I cant speak to a difference in sound quality, but the design looks absolutely amazing. It was a bit too bright for my tastes, but after putting an acrylic plattermat on top (and adjusting the vertical height of the tonearm), it looks amazing The mat is nice and thick, and will be browsing other designs for my other turntables! EDIT: After a year and a half, the mat still looks like new. I have noticed a dramatic reduction in static, and bass does seem a little clearer with it. I would say this is a solid upgrade if you either have static issues, or a direct drive turntable. It does help! Just make sure your tone arm sits level and your spindle is tall enough, this mat is thick! (Was a bit too thick to use on my oneby1, but fits well on my at1240 and id imagine on a at 120)

I've only used this mat a handful of times as the only mat on my table's platter and just like my previous experience with cork over the years, the additional static build-up is noticeably worse. It's fine when the humidity is higher in the house for the most part but I've noticed as soon as it drops below around 50% the static becomes awful, even more than standard rubber mats which never ceases to amaze. Beyond that, it's quite thick at 4mm and generally well made. The design is nice. I kept this mat as a cosmetic piece only - it sits beneath an acrylic platter mat (as shown in the "orange" photos) that I bought from another vendor. The acrylic mat *absolutely* helps control static, far and beyond either the rubber or cork mats I've had. It's night and day. I highly recommend this combo and only use the cork because I was tired of seeing the holes in the actual platter through the acrylic mat (as well as a manufacturers sticker I've yet to peel off). ONE LARGE CAVEAT HOWEVER: my setup will really only work if using it on a table that allows for VTA adjustment (adjustment of tonearm height). With the 4mm thickness of Taz Studio cork mat combined with the 3mm thickness of the acrylic mat I'm basically maxed on my VTA adjustment for my current cartridge and can't get anything taller than I currently have (an LP Gear "The Vessel" cart). Other than that, I'm super happy with this combination. The cork-rubber mat also has the added benefit of not allow the acrylic one to slip nearly as much on the metal platter like it can sometimes do when used alone. (It only does this while brushing a record with a little extra pressure and isn't a big deal - the cork mat beneath it and an added record weight solves the issue completely).

Really has a nice look and feel, a small amount of give to help any shock movement I'd say. Odd processing odor but dissipates quickly, FYI & no drama! Very Pleased, thx.

This is indeed a major upgrade. I first bought an acrylic mat for the looks, but hated the sound completely! It made the music sound airy and loose! I have a Rega P25 and that is one record player that will let you know of any flaws in sound. I decided to get this mat, I had bought a cork mat many years ago and had a bad experience with it. However, that was when cork mats first came out, I decided to give this one a chance. This one was perfection, it immediately made a major difference in sound, the bass and clarity was on point. It stabilized the record, so there was zero slippage of the record while spinning. That airy sound disappeared, the bass, treble, vocals were stable and balanced! The mat was perfectly made as it was even, the last corked mat I bought was not even, one side was raised higher than the other, this one as you can see from the photo is even 100 percent.... This is indeed a great upgrade, it's more than worth the price because you are definitely getting what you paid for and more!

Great slipmat with a techno design. The build is atrong and the cork surface is smooth. It desn't affect speed and firs snugly onto the turntable.

First of all, this platter mat stinks! Literally. The stench from the ink lingered in my listening room for about two weeks before the odor finally subsided. I suggest leaving the mat outside for about a week until it stops off-gasing. I will say it's one of the sturdier cork mats I've tried and appears to be a quality product. That said, I found the midrange to be muddied when using this mat and went back to my original rubber mat, which gave me better sound. Your mileage may vary, but it's something to keep in mind. I ended up returning it.

It does exactly as TAZstudio says it should and came very quickly. I'm in South Wales and ordered this on a Sat and was delivered Mon morning from the States, that was fast delivery and wasn't expecting till Wed. I wanted to show another Video of playing a 45 but Amazon will only allow you to submit one video which is a shame. Is a bit dearer compared to other one's on Amazon but is well worth the money.

Cracked after 2 weeks due to a small amount of static from the vinyl after lifting it from the platter which now warps playback and no way to contact the seller regarding the 30 day money back guarantee promise. Looks good but poorly made
