Really great Bass find!
So I was looking for a starter bass for my son who is playing in the school rock band, and this seemed like an interesting option. I have a decent collection of guitars and a couple of basses including a nice Fender, but I wanted something that was something just for him that he could take around to practice and not worry about damaging it. It turns out this was a great find for the money. It has a nice tone and sound, with great clear mid-tones and almost a Horner sound to it - great for rock bass. The action was decent straight out of the box and I just needed to make some small adjustments to avoid any string rattle. The neck/fret size is on the slightly more compact size which is good for a young teen, but it works for me too as a full-grown adult. The quality looks quite good overall - and although in retrospect my son would have preferred the black color, the green is growing on him since it is kind of funky and stands out. It would be nice if they offered a few more color options. The shape has a Jaguar look to it, but without being a direct copy which is nice. I have played it several times and frankly, I prefer it to my much more expensive Fender Jazzmaster bass, which is saying something for something so inexpensively priced! To add to the value, the little amp works just find for a bedroom practice amp and frees up his guitar amp for someone else if he wants to jam. I was not expecting much from the amp for sure, but it works just fine. I would highly recommend this for someone starting their journey as a bass guitarist, especially in the rock genre.

Enjoyable budget bass with fine tone
This is my third instrument from Glarry, 2nd bass + 1 guitar, and for inexpensive instruments, they are surprisingly solid. Understand that they need set-up and quality control may vary (e.g. the guitar needed a lot of work but is now playable), and you can find yourself a fantastic beginner's instrument or modification platform. Good stuff: the frets are filed really nicely, no sharp edges at all. In fact, maybe the best factory fretwork of the 6 guitars i own, including more expensive "name brands". Pickups (split P-style and single coil J style) provide nice volume and tone. Tuners feel sturdy and hold tune well. Nut slots cut well, saddle functional,so it intonates without issue. Love the color, nice fiish, and body style resembles a Jaguar and a Talman, which both retail for $150+ more! Areas for adjustment: action was high, so needed to adjust truss rod and saddles. Some rough spots on neck. Nut edges a little ragged. The 19th fret is a little high, so you get some buzz unless the action is set higher or fret leveled. But that's practically at the end of the fretboard and not a huge problem. It is a light body and thick neck, so there's some neckdive. It wasn;t terrible even using the provided poly strap, but noticeable. A thicker, cloth or leather-backed strap largely solves the dive. Your particular bass may not have any of these minor issues. Or it could have more. You kind of roll the dice at this price point. Set expectations accordingly...it's not junk (and if it is, Glarry's customer service is very helpful), it's not a $1000 instrument. But it is fully playable, and has a great style that inspires, whether as a beginner or someone willing to make upgrades. Plus: working digital tuner and a basic 20W amp which is adequate for home practicing. (Strap and bag are thin poly junk, but whatever!)

Amazing bass
I would really recommend this bass for the price it plays well and I’ve had a fun time learning how to play on it. It has a beautiful pick guard and contrasts with the body perfectly it’s a perfect size to fit in you lap and has a beautiful noise.

Great Product
Guitar arrived in great condition. Box wasn't damaged at all which was a surprise. So unboxed the bass for inspection. Right out of the box it looks fantastic. It came with the normal small stuff. Cord, allen wrenchs and strap. One thing I had to do and discovered while tuning is on the #2 sting it wouldn't stay in the nut. Not a big deal but if you don't have the tools to fix this it can't be played or tuned. So with a bit of filing (fixed) that problem. It tuned up nicely. Frets are nice and neck is straight. With a little adjustment to the bridge this bass is up and running. The wife loves it so all is well in world woohoo. I own a few Glarry products and like them very much with no problems. Im sure at some time I will have to change the strings but for the money this bass is great. The amp is a good looking amp but is a bit under powered. Still no problem it can be used for something else. Hook it up to 100w fender and blow the roof off. All in all great job Glarry we love it.
