I do wish it had a rechargeable battery source though. We should buy stock in Duracell.

It has options to take pictures of the sample that my kids love. It has some games that may not be useful from the perspective of parents but keep kids engaged with the instrument. This does not have higher magnification and may not be as useful for bigger kids or any scientific work but it is a good device to bring interest in the field. Overall, of all the microscopes I have used, this is probably the best one for kids.

A: Yes the age range is between 5-9 years old

A: I am not aware of any memory card being needed.  The slides provided with the viewer have all of the information and guidance. My granddaughter is really enjoying it.

A: Not that I am aware of. The person I gifted it to never mentioned anything about registering.

**Q: Do parents have the option of disabling the Game function?**
A: Microscope Mode Button
Press the Microscope Mode Button to enter the Microscope
Mode and explore your own samples using the Reusable Slides
or the Large Sample Tray. When a Smart Slide is inserted into
the device, press the Microscope Mode Button to toggle back
and forth between the Smart Slide Menu

I bought this for my 6 year old, but the teens in my house play with it more. To be honest, so do us adults. We love zooming in on our cuticles, nails, and hair follicles. ### ⭐ Bought it twice. Didnt work. I'm still waiting on the return for the first one.

It came with the batteries inside. All rusted and the contacts were rusted off and damaged too. We tried replacing the batteries it didn't work. We returned it and bought another one thinking that it may have been a return. Second one had the same issue.
