A must have for room treatment.
I got this cause my F36 towers are rear ported and I can only have the speakers a foot away from the wall. The air pressure from the port would hit the wall with enough force that it made the wall vibrate causing lots of resonance and making them sound boomy making the sound a bit muddied. And it was real bad in the rooms behind the wall like headache bad. Anyways I tried the egg shaped ones but didn’t do anything then I saw these and gave it a shot. Boy I’m glad I got them. I put them behind the port 4 for each speaker 4 for the subs and they eliminated the problem for the most part. On a scale of 1-10 I say it’s 9.0 I am very happy! It eliminated the resonance making my speakers sound better. When they arrived they were compressed in bags but once I opened one bag they just bursted out lol. You have to buy two sided tape or something equivalent to stick them to the walls. I highly recommend these well worth the money!

Quick fix for the panels that look rough
Just got my third round of these 12x12x2 panels and a majority them looked pretty rough - thin, curved, edges looked like they were glued together, etc. If this happens to you maybe this'll help: run the panels through a quick wash cycle, wring them out with your hands and try to pull "apart" and fluff them up around the problem areas, then toss them in the dryer for around 30 mins. Worked like a charm for me.

Nice design and performs as advertised (Does not cancel all frequencies)
I have made a major investment in this material and several other products that will work in concert. I have roughly a 600 SqFt sound recording studio I am preparing and chose this product for the main area to stop sound and frequency from bouncing off the wood-panel walls. I like the baffle design. It is a unique design that will trap and absorb frequencies (Low, Mid, and High) to help with bouncing of frequencies against wood walls and ceiling. I am not a fan of having to purchase adhesion spray and spray 1404 foam tiles, but for the price, it was worth it compared to other products with self-adhesion. Product reviews for products with self-adhesion all state that the self-adhesion worked ok but over time would begin to fail and the tiles would fall off the walls. I am still working on getting all the tiles in place in my sound studio and cannot yet write to the products ability to cancel decibels levels (outside frequencies and or band decibel level reduction). Another issue I have with the product is about 20% of the tiles that I ordered in packs of 36, are not all decompressing and take a lot of work to form into their final shape. Several tiles never have fully decompressed, no matter what I do (i.e. submerging in water, blow dryer, etc.). It almost appears if several of the tiles were smashed by the cutting blade and became glued when compressed into their packaging. Again, I have just under half (i.e. 500 or less) that I am still waiting on them to decompress to their full form. I am not a fan of submerging the product into water. If any water remains in the material air pockets, over time mildew will form and would be accompanied by smell. I have tried the water submersion and dryer technique, but caution anyone considering this approach and to not use high or mid heat, if using a clothes dryer. I have ruined several tiles trying this and found two to three cycles on delicate to do the trick, but to always keep and eye on it and check it multiple times to ensure the tiles do not start to deform. Overall, I am satisficed with the product and looking forward to hearing the difference and reading the decibel meter after everything is in place. I will write another update and provide pictures when the studio is complete.

Great product. Thicker than expected.
These are a lot "foamier" than I was expecting. I didn't go the route of adhesives in case I change my mind on room design, and instead opted for push tacks that sorta distort and bend the foam in, but overall I am very pleased with the product and how it came out. I ordered the 52 pack and only used about half.

Not a uniform pattern throughout
If you care about the cohesiveness of your panels, I would recommend going with a different product (maybe the pyramids). The shapes and designs on these are cool, but they're not all the same. Some are different enough that you can split them up into groups if you're paying attention, but some differences are really small that I didn't realize after putting them up. They're good foam panel, but if you're looking to have one uniform pattern, this isn't for you. Some were flat even after waiting the 24hs, but I threw them in the dryer for 10 minutes and that did the trick.

Great sound dampening!
These do not come with adhesive. We used hot glue gun and tacked them onto a strong piece of cardboard in our drum cage. It dampens a lot of sound. Just order a lot to cover most if not all of your surfaces.

Do NOT buy.
waste of money. Actually makes the room sound MORE echoey.

Better than expected
I expected this to be trash. I needed an add-on to get free overnight shipping and thought why not. My friend use to have a recording studio in the attic where we lived and it was pretty well treated against reflections. He had a nice set up with even bass traps and stuff. Nearly 20k+ equipment in a college dorm. I knew I’d likely never have a setup like that so I got a Shure SM7b, which is a dynamic mic. It has great off-axis rejection on nearly every side except behind. This means it works pretty well in less treated rooms and is good at blocking ambient noise. I used to live in line of an airport and a busy Highway, so that was important. All this to say: I thought these would do nothing, but they immediately reduced reflections. My noise sounds less boxy and almost echo-y. A much dryer, crisp sound. I might buy more of these panels lol. A little goes a long way, but I didn’t really need to stop side reflections. Put a few of these behind and to the side of you and you’ll be surprised. I didn’t soak them in water or wait very long. They immediately popped up and seemed like the right dimensions. I left them a few hours and they looked the same. Basically zero smell. I left them overnight just in case, but they still looked fully expanded and didn’t smell. I used 3M medium command strips to hang them up. They are super light so that might even be overkill. But it was a lot easier and cheaper than spray or double-sided tape. These are a great value and for my purposes did more than enough. If you want something to isolate sound or sound proofing, this is not the product. But if you want to minimize noise bouncing everywhere, this is great. Plan to get a lot more than me if you have a bare room with no furniture or use a condenser mic.

Foam, form and Function
I love these panels , so I've decided to treat the whole space. They do expand fine if unpacked and left over night. There is a bit of an odor that dissipates over a few days. I also like how they look on the wall after some 3M tape and some patience.
