You could place them outdoor after fully charged. But if it's raining outside, it's best to bring them indoor **Q: how long does it take to charge?** A: I've never timed the charging, but my guess is within a few hours. I usually plug mine in before I go to bed, and it's charged in the morning. You will love these lights. I use one for 'ambient' light in my bathroom in the evenings. I keep the second one charged for backup. They look so nice and are very simple to use. (keep charged and great for power outages too!) **Q: How many lumens? How bright?** A: I don’t know the lumens but on the brightest setting it’s super bright, definitely enough to read by! **Q: can the bulbs be replaced?** A: I don't think so. There is no information in the User Manual about bulb replacement and the bulbs do not seem to unscrew. I suspect the bulbs last a very long time. I've only had my UBright Lamps a few weeks, and I love them. They look lovely. Good to have for power outage too. The "sturdy" base is in fact cheap plastic and it looks really cheap and nasty. I am desperate for a lamp so will keep one as I cannot find anything of a similar design.
