They are the best locks for sliding doors I have ever used. I just purchased 3 more from Amazon to put on the doors of my new house. It was very simple to install. I had no problems at all installing it. Gave me peace of mind while on my vacation. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for keeping kids in, and burglars out, but instructions are poor. *by J***P on October 10, 2018* I don't know why this isn't a more popular item. It seems rare and hard to find, with certain color options no longer being manufactured or sold. But in my opinion, any household with small children should have a deadbolt system like this on the sliding glass door. Despite very poor instructions, it's easy (enough) to install (as long as you are thoughtful enough to figure it out, and don't rush through it), easy to use, and adds considerable security to the door, both for keeping little ones inside, and burglars outside. This is now my second home that I have installed a Cal deadbolt lock onto the sliding door, and I will recommend them to friends! Because the installation instructions are so poor, I will just note that you don't need all the parts to install it. There are different parts for different door configurations. Figure out the parts you need and set the rest aside. There are installation tutorials on YouTube for this product, and for identical products from other companies.
