Can be used up to 10x.... Then what? I'm confused by this limitation

60 pieces = 30 trays + 30 lids = 10 sets of single compartment (10 times pieces); 10 sets of 2-compartment; 10 sets of 3-compartment. Use each as many times as you possibly can (perhaps months to years).

About 8 by 5 inches and 2 inches deep.

Are these hard plastic ?

No, they are pretty flimsy to the touch and when you microwave them they get even more flexible. I regret buying them because of that, not great for the microwave, suitable really only for cold things but can “technically” be microwaved. Save up and buy glass ones instead. I wish I did that

Can you use heat dry in the dishwasher for these?

I have put them in the dishwasher they wash fine!
