INSTRUCTIONS - Ninja Remote 2: Weaponized PROTECTIVE SEAL There is a thin transparent protective plastic seal covering the keypads on both sides of the remote. Use a knife and working from an edge, pull off the seal. BATTERIES Insert 3 new (non-rechargeable) AAA batteries. The middle battery's positive (+) terminal (end with stub on it) points toward the remote keys. Press LASER button (located on side), red LED should be lit. If not, batteries are inserted incorrectly or are dead. PROGRAMMING There are two ways to program the remote: Using POWER button - Turn TV ON (TV can be off, but not as easy). Point remote at TV. Press and hold POWER (the red button) until the TV turns off. Quickly release POWER. Using MUTE button The MUTE button is located on the side of the remote. Turn TV ON. Point remote at TV. Review: Kinda works, but didn't fulfill my needs - I bought this in the hopes of controlling some TV's at work that are either too loud or on wrong channel. It worked on my Samsung TV at home but would not control Phillips or NEC brands at work. So I can't say it doesn't work, but I can't say why it didn't control these brands either. It has more features on this remote than I wanted like a laser beam, a bomb feature, a camera control feature and a jammer--I didn't care for these features either nor did I even bother with their operation. I just wanted to control volume and channel. Remote uses 3 AAA batteries not included, not a longer-life lithium battery. The seller emailed me and asked for a good review. I responded back and told them it didn't work for my needs, but if they'd refund my money,I'd still give "Seller" good review,but not product. I never heard back from them again.
