This should make going to beach more enjoyable !
We live on LBI and go to the beach fairly often. I bought a Wonder Wheeler cart 5 years ago with narrow wheels. Struggled up the sand dunes. Then two years ago I bought one with wider wheels. Still struggled up the sand dunes .I decided to bite the bullet and invest in what I hope to be the last and best version of this beach cart.I received the kit a week ago and first inflated the tires (3 PSI Max). I removed the old wheels and shaft from the cart. I replaced the shaft with the new one and installed the washers, bushings, locking collar and wheels per the directions. Once installed I didn't like how far the shaft extended beyond the wheels. I looked at the bushings that were included compared to the bushings that I had removed from the old shaft. The new bushings are just PVC tubing and have too large an inner diameter opening for the 3/8 shaft which makes for a sloppy fit. The old bushings were longer and better made to fit the shaft exactly. I took apart what I had done and installed the old plastic bushings (blue in the picture with two outer diameters shown ) and reassembled. Now the shaft was only extended about a 1/2 beyond the locking collar. I thought about capping the end off with plastic protectors for safety but then I got thinking about the locking collars on the end of each shaft. They hold everything together yet are only secured with a hex screw that bites into the shaft when tightened. I thought about drilling through each end of the shaft and placing a cotter pin next to the collar but I would still have the raw end of the shaft exposed for someone to run an ankle against. I decided to address both potential problems by purchasing 3/8 metal end caps and tapping them on with a soft face hammer. You can see the collar with its hex screw and the cap to the outside of it. It will keep the collar in place in the event it loosens and it caps off the unfinished end of the shaft for a better appearance. I like the wider stance of the cart and I hope the tires continue to hold air over the long haul. This is an easy conversion to make. Not cheap but I have to believe this will be a great improvement ! As a side note I also extended the handles of my cart so that when It's being pulled your arms aren't extended behind you. I cut a metal broom handle and attached it to the existing handle and put bicycle grips on the ends. It can now be pulled while standing in between the handles kind of like a rickshaw. Much easier. I will update this when I put it to real world use. Summers Comin !Update 8/3/19. This was the best thing I could have done to this cart. I can even push this up and down the entrance/exits to the beach which I find is easier than pulling. Just lift the front wheels off the sand. Same for going up and down curbs. Been asked many times how where I got the cart/wheels etc. No regrets !

Cart now wobbles
I used these on a beach fishing cart. They went on easy, and looked great. When pulling the cart on a hard flat surface, there is a big bounce or wobble from side to desire that gets created. I don’t know if it’s due to the tires not being balanced or there being flex in the axle. But can be irritating.

Super Easy to Install and Upgrade Existing Cart
Literally took less than 10 minutes to complete the wheel conversion on my existing cart. Have previously used these same type of wheels on another cart and it makes the use on sand SO much easier. We were going to get rid of the existing cart but decided to try this conversion kit. While a little pricey (mainly due to the wheels), overall it was totally worth it as we now have a second smaller cart to use on a regular basis. Would recommend for anyone who has the type of cart shown in the item description that is being used for the beach.

UPDATE 2022 Easy assembly, easy to pull cart now, but pricy
Wow did these wheels make a difference pulling my loaded up cart over the sand and down to our place on the beach. Cost is pretty high, so I’m hoping they last a long time. Very compatible with my cart and easy to swap out with original wheels and axle. I walk 5 blocks to get to the beach and these wheels are great and smooth as silk on sidewalk, street and sand. Again, don’t know why price is so high, but no more huffing and puffing when pulling my cart over the hot loose sand.LUPDATE 2022 - I STILL FEEL THIS IS A GREAT SET OF WHEELS AFTER 3 SEASONS OF LOADED-DOWN TRAVEL OVER LITERALLY MILES OF STREETS AND SAND. NO FLATS AND WHEEL ASSEMBLY STILL AS GOOD AS THE DAY I ASSEMBLED THEM ONTO MY CART

Easy to install!!
Well finally pulled the trigger on these wheels. A little expensive I thought but after installing them on my beach cart and loading chairs, umbrella, towels and cooler full of beverages and went to beach WOW what a difference pulling across LBI sand. It was like nite and day compared to large plastic wheels. Even let my best half pull it for a bit and she was impressed. Now I am not exhausted when I get there and do not feel like I am having a heart attack while pulling off and up and over new dunes. I would recommend these wheels to anyone who puts a lot of stuff to the beach.

Exactly what I was looking for
Bought these for my beach cart. They were easy to assemble. Finally got to try them out at the beach last week. Wow! They had my beach cart floating on top of the sand. It was so easy to pull my fully loaded (cooler too) cart across the sand. I wish I had invested in these years ago.

One tire is out of round
Easy to install but one of my tires is not round and bumps along. Very annoying. Since these are so expensive I thought the quality would be better.
